Telangana to Set Up Dedicated Traffic & Road Safety Bureau: CM Reviews Traffic Management
తెలంగాణలో ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ, రోడ్డు భద్రతను మరింత సమర్థవంతంగా అమలు చేసేందుకు ప్రత్యేక ట్రాఫిక్ & రోడ్డు సేఫ్టీ బ్యూరో ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ, రోడ్డు భద్రత పర్యవేక్షణ కోసం ప్రత్యేక బ్యూరోను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. రవాణా వ్యవస్థను సమగ్రంగా అధ్యయనం చేసి, ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణతో పాటు రోడ్డు భద్రతను సమర్థవంతంగా పర్యవేక్షించేలా సంస్థాగత నిర్మాణంతో ఈ బ్యూరోను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని సూచించారు.
ఎంసీఆర్ హెచ్ఆర్డీలోని బోధి పెవిలియాన్లో జరిగిన ఉన్నతస్థాయి సమీక్ష సమావేశంలో ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణ, రోడ్డు భద్రతపై విస్తృతంగా చర్చించారు. ట్రాఫిక్ క్రమబద్ధీకరణకు తీసుకోవాల్సిన చర్యలపై ప్రతి రెండు నుంచి మూడు నెలలకు ఒకసారి సమీక్ష నిర్వహించాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
ట్రాఫిక్ వ్యవస్థలో నిబంధనల అమలుకంటే క్రమబద్ధీకరణకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు. వాతావరణ పరిస్థితులు, కార్యాలయాల పనివేళలు, రద్దీ సమయాలు, స్థానిక పరిస్థితులను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకుని ట్రాఫిక్ నిర్వహణకు ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించాలని చెప్పారు.
కొత్త మౌలిక సదుపాయాల నిర్మాణానికి ముందు ట్రాఫిక్ అధ్యయనం తప్పనిసరిగా నిర్వహించాలని సూచించారు. ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డుపై ప్రమాదాల నివారణకు కట్టుదిట్టమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని, వాహనాలను ఇష్టానుసారంగా నిలిపివేయకుండా నిరంతర పర్యవేక్షణ చేపట్టాలని ఆదేశించారు.
హైదరాబాద్లో స్మార్ట్ సిగ్నలింగ్ వ్యవస్థపై సమగ్ర అధ్యయనం చేపట్టాలని, అవసరమైన చోట అండర్పాస్లు, ఎలివేటెడ్ కారిడార్ల నిర్మాణం ద్వారా సిగ్నల్-ఫ్రీ రవాణా వ్యవస్థను దశలవారీగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని సూచించారు. సాధ్యమైనంత వరకు సిగ్నళ్ల వద్ద వాహనాల నిలుపుదల తగ్గించి ట్రాఫిక్ నిరంతరాయంగా కొనసాగేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని తెలిపారు.
సమావేశంలో ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారులు, ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి సంజయ్ జాజు, డీజీపీ సీవీ ఆనంద్తో పాటు పలువురు ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to establish a dedicated bureau to oversee traffic management and road safety across the state. He said the bureau should have a well-defined institutional framework to comprehensively study the transport system and implement effective traffic regulation and road safety measures.
During a high-level review meeting at Bodhi Pavilion in the MCR HRD Institute, the Chief Minister reviewed traffic management and road safety measures. He directed officials to conduct review meetings every two to three months to monitor the implementation of traffic regulation initiatives.
He stressed that greater emphasis should be placed on systematic traffic management rather than enforcement alone. Officials were asked to prepare traffic management plans by considering weather conditions, office timings, peak-hour congestion and local traffic patterns.
The Chief Minister said traffic impact studies should be conducted before developing new infrastructure projects. He also instructed officials to strengthen accident prevention measures on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and ensure continuous monitoring to prevent vehicles from being parked indiscriminately.
He called for a comprehensive study on introducing a smart signalling system in Hyderabad. He also suggested constructing underpasses and elevated corridors wherever necessary to move towards a signal-free traffic system and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow at major junctions.
The meeting was attended by government advisers, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Director General of Police C.V. Anand and other senior officials.
