తెలంగాణ శాసనసభ స్పీకర్పై శాసనమండలి సభ్యుడు తాతా మధుసూదన్ చేసినట్లు పేర్కొన్న అభ్యంతరకర వ్యాఖ్యలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తీవ్రంగా ఖండించారు. ఈ ఘటనను శాసనసభ చరిత్రలో చీకటి రోజుగా అభివర్ణిస్తూ, ప్రతిపక్ష నాయకుడు కే. చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు సభకు క్షమాపణ చెప్పాలని డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
శాసనసభ ప్రాంగణ పరిధిలో ఎమ్మెల్సీ తాతా మధుసూదన్ మాట్లాడిన అంశాన్ని మంత్రి అడ్లూరి లక్ష్మణ్ కుమార్ సభలో ప్రస్తావించగా, ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఈ అంశంపై స్పందించారు. స్పీకర్పై దుర్భాషలు ఉపయోగించిన సభ్యుడిని అనర్హుడిగా ప్రకటించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని అన్నారు.
సభాపతిని, ఆయన కుటుంబ సభ్యులను అవమానించేలా మాట్లాడటం అత్యంత తీవ్రమైన విషయమని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇది కేవలం దళితులకు జరిగిన అవమానం కాదని, సమాజంలోని ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ జరిగిన అవమానంగా భావించాలని అన్నారు.
స్పీకర్పై అనుచిత భాష ఉపయోగించిన సభ్యుడిని తక్షణమే అనర్హుడిగా ప్రకటించాలని శాసనమండలి చైర్మన్ను కోరాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి సూచించారు. ఈ ఘటన తెలంగాణ సమాజ ఆత్మగౌరవాన్ని దెబ్బతీసిందని, నాలుగు కోట్ల ప్రజలకు అవమానకరమని వ్యాఖ్యానించారు.
అడ్డగోలుగా ఏది మాట్లాడినా చెల్లుతుందనే ధోరణికి అడ్డుకట్ట వేయాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అన్నారు. ఇది ఒక వ్యక్తికి సంబంధించిన రాజకీయ అంశంగా చూడకూడదని, రాజకీయాలకు అతీతంగా శాసనసభలోని ప్రతి సభ్యుడు స్పందించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని చెప్పారు.
స్పీకర్ తల్లిని అవమానించేలా వ్యాఖ్యలు చేయడం కూడా అందరికీ జరిగిన అవమానంగా భావించాలని, ఇలాంటి దుర్మార్గపు పోకడలను నియంత్రించాల్సిన బాధ్యత ప్రతి సభ్యుడిపైనా ఉందని అన్నారు. చట్టసభల గౌరవాన్ని కాపాడేందుకు ఈ విషయంలో ముక్తకంఠంతో ఖండన వ్యక్తం చేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
స్వాతంత్య్రం వచ్చినప్పటి నుంచి దేశ చట్టసభల్లో ఇలాంటి హేయమైన భాష వినిపించడం చాలా అరుదని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. ఇలాంటి సంప్రదాయాన్ని క్షమించి వదిలేస్తే చట్టసభల పట్ల గౌరవం మరింత దెబ్బతింటుందని హెచ్చరించారు. సంబంధిత సభ్యుడిపై కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుని సమాజానికి మంచి సందేశం ఇవ్వాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని అన్నారు.
CM Revanth Reddy Condemns MLC’s Remarks Against Telangana Speaker
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy strongly condemned the alleged derogatory and objectionable remarks made by Legislative Council member Tata Madhusudhan against the Telangana Assembly Speaker. Describing the incident as a “dark day” in the history of the Assembly, he demanded that Opposition Leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao apologise to the House.
The issue was raised in the Assembly by Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar over remarks made by MLC Tata Madhusudhan within the Assembly premises. Responding to the matter, the Chief Minister said there was a need to disqualify the member who allegedly used abusive language against the Speaker.
Revanth Reddy said the use of highly objectionable language against the Speaker and remarks concerning his family were extremely serious. He stressed that the incident should not be viewed merely as an insult to Dalits, but as an insult to society as a whole.
The Chief Minister said the Chairman of the Legislative Council should be urged to immediately disqualify the member for using derogatory language against the Speaker. He described the incident as an affront to the self-respect of Telangana society and an insult to the four crore people of the state.
Revanth Reddy said there was a need to send a strong message to those who believe that they could make any statement without consequences. He stressed that the issue should not be treated as a matter concerning an individual legislator alone and called for every member of the House to respond beyond political affiliations.
He said remarks that insult the Speaker’s mother should also be viewed as an insult to everyone and called for a unanimous condemnation of such conduct. Members should rise above political considerations and work to prevent such unacceptable trends, he said.
The Chief Minister observed that such objectionable conduct was highly inappropriate for a legislative institution. He warned that overlooking such incidents could further erode public respect for the legislature.
Revanth Reddy said appropriate action, including disqualification of the member concerned, was necessary to uphold the dignity of the House and send a strong message to society about the importance of maintaining decorum in legislative proceedings.
