Telangana to Conduct Varuna Yagam at Nagarjuna Sagar
రాష్ట్రంలో విస్తారంగా వర్షాలు కురిసి జలాశయాలు నిండాలని సంకల్పంతో ఆగస్టు 10న నాగార్జునసాగర్లో వరుణ యాగం నిర్వహించాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది.
English: The Telangana Government has decided to conduct a Varuna Yagam at Nagarjuna Sagar on August 10, praying for widespread rainfall and abundant water in rivers and reservoirs.
తెలంగాణలో సమృద్ధిగా వర్షాలు కురిసి జలాశయాలు, నదులు, చెరువులు నిండాలని ఆకాంక్షిస్తూ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక వరుణ యాగం నిర్వహించనుంది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆదేశాల మేరకు ఆగస్టు 10న నాగార్జునసాగర్లో ఈ యాగాన్ని నిర్వహించేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు జరుగుతున్నాయి.
యాదగిరిగుట్ట శ్రీ లక్ష్మీనరసింహస్వామి దేవస్థానం అర్చకులు, వేదపండితులు, సిద్ధాంతులు నిర్ణయించిన శుభ ముహూర్తంలో నాగార్జునసాగర్ డ్యామ్ సమీపంలోని విజయవిహార్ ప్రాంగణంలో వరుణ యాగం నిర్వహించనున్నారు. దేవాదాయ, ధర్మాదాయ శాఖ ఆధ్వర్యంలో యాగ క్రతువులు వేదోక్తంగా నిర్వహించబడనున్నాయి.
కృష్ణా, గోదావరి నదులు జలకళ సంతరించుకోవాలని, చెరువులు నిండాలని, రాష్ట్రంలో పాడిపంటలు సమృద్ధిగా పండాలని సంకల్పంతో ప్రత్యేక పూజలు నిర్వహించనున్నారు. రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా అనుకూల వర్షాలు కురవాలని యాగంలో ప్రత్యేక ప్రార్థనలు చేయనున్నారు.
రాష్ట్ర నీటిపారుదల, పౌరసరఫరాల శాఖ మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి ఆధ్వర్యంలో కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించనున్నారు. యాగం అనంతరం జరిగే పూర్ణాహుతి కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి పాల్గొననున్నారు.
వర్షాభావ పరిస్థితులు తలెత్తకుండా ముందస్తు చర్యల్లో భాగంగా ఆధ్యాత్మిక కార్యక్రమాలతో పాటు నీటి వనరుల పరిరక్షణ, సాగునీటి లభ్యతపై ప్రభుత్వం ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారిస్తున్నట్లు అధికార వర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి.

The Telangana Government has decided to conduct a Varuna Yagam at Nagarjuna Sagar on August 10 with prayers for widespread rainfall, full reservoirs and a prosperous agricultural season.
The ritual will be performed at the Vijaya Vihar premises near the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam at an auspicious time fixed by priests, Vedic scholars and religious experts from the Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. The Endowments Department will oversee the arrangements.
Special prayers will be offered seeking abundant water in the Krishna and Godavari rivers, full irrigation tanks and a successful crop season across Telangana.
The ceremony will be conducted under the supervision of Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will participate in the Purnahuti ceremony after the completion of the ritual.
The government said the event reflects its commitment to praying for favourable monsoon conditions while continuing efforts to strengthen water resource management across the state.
