భారత ప్రధాని Narendra Modi బుధవారం న్యూఢిల్లీలో వియత్నాం అధ్యక్షుడు To Lamతో కలిసి సంయుక్త మీడియా సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్నారు. భారత్ పర్యటనలో భాగంగా వచ్చిన వియత్నాం అధ్యక్షుడికి రాష్ట్రపతి భవన్లో ఘన స్వాగతం లభించింది. అనంతరం హైదరాబాద్ హౌస్లో ద్వైపాక్షిక చర్చలు జరిగాయి.
ఈ సమావేశంలో భారత్–వియత్నాం సంబంధాలను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని ఇరు దేశాలు నిర్ణయించాయి. వాణిజ్యం, కీలక ఖనిజాలు, అరుదైన ఖనిజ వనరులు, ఇంధన భద్రత, డిజిటల్ రంగాల్లో సహకారాన్ని విస్తరించేందుకు అంగీకరించాయి. 2030 నాటికి ఇరు దేశాల మధ్య వాణిజ్యాన్ని 25 బిలియన్ డాలర్లకు పెంచాలని ప్రధాని మోదీ లక్ష్యంగా ప్రకటించారు.
భారత్, వియత్నాం మధ్య వ్యూహాత్మక భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని “ఎన్హాన్స్డ్ కాంప్రెహెన్సివ్ స్ట్రాటజిక్ పార్ట్నర్షిప్” స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లినట్లు ప్రధాని వెల్లడించారు. ఇండో-పసిఫిక్ ప్రాంతంలో శాంతి, భద్రత, సరఫరా గొలుసుల స్థిరత్వంపై కూడా చర్చలు జరిగాయి.
చంపా నాగరికతకు చెందిన పురాతన ఆలయాల పునరుద్ధరణ, పురాతన పాండులిపుల డిజిటలైజేషన్లో భారత్ సహకారం అందిస్తోందని ప్రధాని మోదీ తెలిపారు. ఇరు దేశాల మధ్య సాంస్కృతిక, విద్యా, వ్యాపార సంబంధాలను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
వియత్నాం అధ్యక్షుడు టో లామ్ మాట్లాడుతూ భారత్తో సంబంధాలకు తమ ప్రభుత్వం అత్యంత ప్రాధాన్యత ఇస్తోందన్నారు. ఆర్థిక, రక్షణ, సాంకేతిక రంగాల్లో సహకారం పెంపుపై ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేశారు.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed a joint press meet in New Delhi along with Vietnamese President To Lam during the latter’s official visit to India. The Vietnamese leader received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan before holding bilateral talks with the Indian delegation at Hyderabad House.
During the discussions, both countries agreed to strengthen cooperation in trade, critical minerals, rare earths, energy security and digital sectors. Prime Minister Modi announced that India and Vietnam are targeting bilateral trade worth 25 billion dollars by 2030.
The two countries elevated their ties to an “Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,” highlighting growing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. The leaders also discussed supply chain resilience, economic security and regional stability.
Prime Minister Modi said India would continue supporting restoration work related to the ancient Champa civilisation in Vietnam. He also announced efforts to digitise historical manuscripts linked to the shared cultural heritage between the two nations.
President To Lam stated that Vietnam considers India a key strategic partner in Asia. He expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries would expand further in defence, economy, technology and cultural exchanges.
The visit is being seen as significant amid changing geopolitical dynamics in the Indo-Pacific region and growing focus on economic and strategic partnerships in Southeast Asia
