A fatal road accident occurred on Mumbai’s Coastal Road early Sunday morning after a BMW lost control, crashed through a barrier and plunged from an elevated section of the road. Three people were killed and another occupant was critically injured. NDTV
According to police, the accident occurred at around 5:20 am near Lotus Jetty, opposite Lala Lajpatrai College. The BMW was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali when the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. Mid-Day
All four occupants were rushed to the civic-run Nair Hospital following the crash. Doctors declared three of them dead on arrival. The deceased included Shanay Gajjal, 21, and Dhirya Seth, 17. The identity of the third deceased had not been confirmed in the latest reports. The fourth occupant sustained severe injuries and was admitted to the trauma ward in critical condition. Mid-Day
