హైదరాబాద్: పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి ఎత్తిపోతల పథకం పంపులను అప్పటి ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేసీఆర్ ప్రారంభించి నేటికి మూడేళ్లు పూర్తయ్యాయని బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ కేటీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు. 2023 సెప్టెంబర్ 16న నార్లాపూర్ పంపును కేసీఆర్ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రారంభించిన విషయాన్ని గుర్తు చేస్తూ, ప్రాజెక్టులో మిగిలిన పనులను త్వరితగతిన పూర్తి చేసి పంట పొలాలకు నీరు అందించాలని కేటీఆర్ తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని డిమాండ్ చేశారు. కేసీఆర్ 2023 సెప్టెంబర్ 16న పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి ఎత్తిపోతల పథకాన్ని ప్రారంభించినట్లు అప్పటి వార్తా నివేదికలు ధృవీకరిస్తున్నాయి.
పాలమూరు ప్రాంతం గతంలో వలసలు, కరువు సమస్యలతో ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొందని కేటీఆర్ తన అధికారిక ఎక్స్ పోస్టులో పేర్కొన్నారు. పెండింగ్లో ఉన్న సాగునీటి ప్రాజెక్టులను బీఆర్ఎస్ ప్రభుత్వం పూర్తి చేసి, ఉమ్మడి మహబూబ్నగర్ జిల్లాలో లక్షల ఎకరాలకు సాగునీరు అందించిందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఉమ్మడి మహబూబ్నగర్, రంగారెడ్డి, నల్గొండ జిల్లాల్లో సాగునీరు అందించే లక్ష్యంతో కేసీఆర్ పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి ప్రాజెక్టుకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టారని కేటీఆర్ తెలిపారు. ఈ పథకం ద్వారా 12.30 లక్షల ఎకరాలకు కృష్ణా జలాలను అందించేందుకు ప్రణాళికలు రూపొందించినట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు.
2023 సెప్టెంబర్ 16న నార్లాపూర్ పంపులను ప్రారంభించిన సందర్భంగా కేసీఆర్ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా కృష్ణా జలాలను ఎత్తిపోసే ప్రక్రియకు శ్రీకారం చుట్టింది. అప్పటి నివేదికల్లో పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి పథకం కరువు ప్రభావిత ప్రాంతాలకు సాగునీరు అందించే కీలక ప్రాజెక్టుగా వివరించబడింది.
అయితే, ప్రస్తుత కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వం అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత పాలమూరు ప్రజల నీటి అవసరాలను విస్మరించిందని కేటీఆర్ విమర్శించారు. ఈ వ్యాఖ్య కేటీఆర్ చేసిన రాజకీయ విమర్శగా మాత్రమే పరిగణించాలి.
నార్లాపూర్ పంపులను ప్రారంభించి మూడేళ్లు పూర్తైన సందర్భంగా ప్రాజెక్టులో మిగిలిపోయిన పనులను త్వరగా పూర్తి చేసి రైతుల పంట పొలాలకు నీరు అందించాలని కేటీఆర్ మరోసారి ప్రభుత్వాన్ని కోరారు.
కేసీఆర్పై రాజకీయ కక్షతో పాలమూరు ప్రాజెక్టును నిర్లక్ష్యం చేయవద్దని కేటీఆర్ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హెచ్చరించారు. ప్రాజెక్టులో మిగిలిన పనులను పూర్తి చేయడంపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి సారించాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
ఇటీవల కూడా పాలమూరు-రంగారెడ్డి ప్రాజెక్టు పనుల పురోగతిపై బీఆర్ఎస్ నాయకులు ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. సెప్టెంబర్ 6న తెలంగాణ టుడే నివేదిక ప్రకారం, బీఆర్ఎస్ శాసనసభాపక్ష సమావేశంలో ప్రాజెక్టు సుమారు 80 శాతం పూర్తయిందని, మిగిలిన కొంత భాగం పూర్తయితే 60 టీఎంసీల నీటిని వినియోగించుకునే అవకాశం ఉంటుందని పార్టీ పేర్కొంది. ఇది బీఆర్ఎస్ వర్గాలుగా నివేదించబడిన వివరాలు.

Hyderabad: Three years have been completed since the pumps of the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme were inaugurated by then Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on September 16, 2023, BRS working president K T Rama Rao said. Recalling the inauguration of the Narlapur pumping facility, KTR urged the Telangana government to complete the remaining works of the project at the earliest and ensure irrigation water reaches agricultural fields. In his official X post, KTR said the Palamuru region had historically faced migration and drought-related difficulties. He credited the previous BRS government with completing pending irrigation projects and providing irrigation facilities to lakhs of acres in the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district.
KTR said the Palamuru-Rangareddy project was taken up during the K Chandrashekhar Rao government to provide irrigation water to the erstwhile Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy and Nalgonda districts. He stated that plans were drawn up to provide Krishna river water to 12.30 lakh acres.
The project entered a key phase on September 16, 2023, when the Narlapur pumping facility was inaugurated under the then BRS government. Contemporary reports described the project as a major irrigation initiative intended to supply water to drought-affected regions.
KTR, however, alleged that the Congress government had ignored the water requirements of the people of Palamuru after coming to power. This is a political criticism made by KTR and is presented as his allegation.
Marking three years since the Narlapur pumps were launched, KTR once again demanded that the remaining works of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project be completed quickly and irrigation water be supplied to farmers.
KTR also warned the government against neglecting the project due to political differences with K Chandrashekhar Rao. He urged the government to concentrate on completing the pending works.
The status of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project continues to be a subject of political debate in Telangana. Telangana Today reported on September 6 that the BRS had discussed the project at its Legislature Party meeting and said it was around 80 per cent complete, with a remaining component that could enable utilisation of 60 TMCft of water. These figures were reported as claims made by the BRS.
