India Strengthens AI Ecosystem Through Centres of Excellence
న్యూఢిల్లీ: కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు రంగంలో పరిశోధన, ఆవిష్కరణలు, ఉన్నత విద్యకు ఊతమివ్వడానికి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం ఏఐ సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ను బలోపేతం చేస్తోంది. New Delhi: The Government of India is strengthening the country’s AI ecosystem by expanding Centres of Excellence to promote research, innovation and higher education.
కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు (Artificial Intelligence–AI) రంగంలో భారత్ను ప్రపంచస్థాయి ఆవిష్కరణల కేంద్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దే లక్ష్యంతో కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ (Centres of Excellence–CoE) ద్వారా ఏఐ ఎకోసిస్టమ్ను మరింత బలోపేతం చేస్తోంది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమాలకు సంబంధించిన వివరాలను కేంద్ర విద్యాశాఖ సహాయ మంత్రి డాక్టర్ సుకాంత మజుందార్ రాజ్యసభలో లిఖితపూర్వక సమాధానంలో వెల్లడించారు. దేశంలో ఏఐ ఆధారిత పరిశోధనలు, సాంకేతిక అభివృద్ధి, ఉన్నత విద్యా సంస్థల సామర్థ్య పెంపు, పరిశ్రమ–విద్యాసంస్థల భాగస్వామ్యాన్ని ప్రోత్సహించే దిశగా కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు తీసుకుంటోందని తెలిపారు.
సెంటర్స్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ ద్వారా అత్యాధునిక పరిశోధనలకు ప్రోత్సాహం, విద్యార్థులకు నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి అవకాశాలు, వినూత్న పరిష్కారాల అభివృద్ధి, స్టార్టప్లకు మద్దతు వంటి అంశాలకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వబడుతోంది. దీంతో దేశంలో ఏఐ ఆధారిత ఆవిష్కరణలు మరింత వేగవంతం కావడంతో పాటు ప్రపంచ పోటీతత్వంలో భారత స్థానం బలోపేతం కావడం లక్ష్యంగా ప్రభుత్వం పనిచేస్తోంది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమాలు వికసిత్ భారత్ లక్ష్యాలకు అనుగుణంగా విద్య, పరిశోధన, సాంకేతికత, ఆవిష్కరణల మధ్య సమన్వయాన్ని మరింత పెంచనున్నాయని కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం పేర్కొంది.

The Government of India is strengthening the country’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem through Centres of Excellence (CoE) aimed at promoting research, innovation and higher education.
The initiatives were highlighted in a written reply presented in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar. The government said these Centres of Excellence are intended to enhance AI research, foster collaboration between academia and industry, build advanced technological capabilities and develop a skilled workforce.
The CoEs will support cutting-edge research, innovation, startup development and capacity building in higher education institutions. These efforts are expected to accelerate AI-driven solutions and strengthen India’s position as a global innovation hub.
The initiative aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat by promoting technology-led growth, knowledge creation and sustainable innovation across the education ecosystem.
