హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో రైలు ప్రయాణికులు తమ గమ్యస్థానాలకు సురక్షితంగా, సులభంగా, సౌకర్యవంతంగా చేరుకునేలా అవసరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి సంజయ్ జాజు అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
శుక్రవారం తెలంగాణ సచివాలయంలో హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో రైల్ లిమిటెడ్ (HMRL) బోర్డ్ ఆఫ్ డైరెక్టర్స్ సమావేశం ఆయన అధ్యక్షతన జరిగింది. సీఎస్గా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టిన అనంతరం మెట్రో అభివృద్ధిపై ఆయన నిర్వహించిన తొలి సమీక్ష ఇదే.
మెట్రో, టీజీఎస్ఆర్టీసీ తదితర ప్రజా రవాణా సేవలకు ఒకే కామన్ మొబిలిటీ టికెటింగ్ వ్యవస్థను అమలు చేయాలని సమావేశంలో సూచించారు. ప్రయాణికులు ఒకే టికెట్తో వివిధ రవాణా సేవలను వినియోగించుకునేలా చర్యలు చేపట్టాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
ఈ మేరకు టీజీఎస్ఆర్టీసీతో చర్చలు జరిపి ఉమ్మడి మొబైల్ అప్లికేషన్ అభివృద్ధి చేయాలని సూచించారు. అలాగే మెట్రో ప్రయాణికుల కోసం రోజువారీ, వారాంత, నెలవారీ పాస్లను ప్రవేశపెట్టే అవకాశాలను పరిశీలించాలని ఆదేశించారు.
సమావేశంలో మెట్రో ఫేజ్–1 స్వాధీనం, ఫేజ్–2 భూసేకరణ, యుటిలిటీ మార్పిడి పనుల పురోగతి, కేంద్ర అనుమతుల స్థితిపై సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు. పెరుగుతున్న ప్రయాణికుల అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని అదనపు మెట్రో కోచ్ల కొనుగోలు ప్రక్రియను వేగవంతం చేయాలని సీఎస్ ఆదేశించారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో మెట్రోపాలిటన్ ఏరియా & అర్బన్ డెవలప్మెంట్ స్పెషల్ చీఫ్ సెక్రటరీ జయేశ్ రంజన్, టీఆర్&బీ స్పెషల్ చీఫ్ సెక్రటరీ వికాస్ రాజ్, డీజీపీ (లా అండ్ ఆర్డర్) మహేష్ ఎం. భగవత్, ఫైనాన్స్ స్పెషల్ సెక్రటరీ సిక్తా పట్నాయక్, హెచ్ఎండబ్ల్యూఎస్ఎస్బీ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ కె. అశోక్ రెడ్డి, హెచ్ఎంఆర్ఎల్ మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ సర్ఫరాజ్ అహ్మద్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju has directed officials to improve passenger convenience and ensure that Hyderabad Metro Rail commuters reach their destinations safely, easily and comfortably.
Chairing the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) Board of Directors meeting at the Telangana Secretariat on Friday for the first time as Board Chairman, Jaju reviewed the progress of Metro Rail operations and ongoing expansion works.
He proposed the introduction of a common mobility ticketing system across Metro Rail, TGSRTC and other public transport services, enabling commuters to travel using a single ticket. Officials were instructed to hold discussions with TGSRTC to develop a unified mobile application for integrated public transport.
The Chief Secretary also asked officials to examine the feasibility of introducing daily, weekly and monthly Metro travel passes to make commuting more affordable and convenient for regular passengers.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the latest progress on the Phase-I takeover, land acquisition and utility shifting for Metro Phase-II, along with the status of statutory approvals. Jaju directed officials to expedite the procurement of additional Metro coaches to meet future passenger demand.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, DGP (Law & Order) Mahesh M. Bhagwat, Finance Special Secretary Sikta Patnaik, HMWSSB Managing Director K. Ashok Reddy, HMRL Managing Director Sarfaraz Ahmed, Additional Managing Director B. Ajith Reddy and Joint Managing Director Shivendra Pratap.
