ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణ వ్యవస్థను మరింత సమర్థవంతంగా తీర్చిదిద్దడం, ఎన్నికల సిబ్బందికి శిక్షణా కార్యక్రమాలను విస్తరించడం, ఎన్నికల రంగంలో ఉత్తమ విధానాలను పరస్పరం పంచుకోవడం వంటి అంశాల్లో సహకారాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
ఈ సమావేశం భారత్–ఉరుగ్వే మధ్య ప్రజాస్వామ్య పరిపాలన, ఎన్నికల నిర్వహణ మరియు సంస్థాగత సామర్థ్యాల అభివృద్ధిలో ద్వైపాక్షిక సహకారాన్ని మరింత బలోపేతం చేసే దిశగా కీలకంగా నిలిచింది.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India and Chairman of the Council of Member States of International IDEA, Gyanesh Kumar, met Uruguay’s Ambassador to India, Alberto A. Guani, at Nirvachan Sadan in New Delhi.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to jointly advance the agenda outlined during IICDEM 2026. They also resolved to deepen cooperation in election management and the training of electoral staff.
The discussions focused on sharing best practices, strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing collaboration in democratic electoral processes.
The meeting is expected to further strengthen India–Uruguay cooperation in election management and democratic governance.
