English: Telangana CM Announces Strict Anti-Drug Measures in Educational Institutions
రాష్ట్రంలోని విద్యా సంస్థల్లో మాదక ద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణను మరింత కట్టుదిట్టం చేసేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం చర్యలు వేగవంతం చేస్తోంది. విద్యా సంస్థల క్యాంపస్లలో డ్రగ్స్కు సంబంధించిన ఘటనలు జరిగితే ఆయా సంస్థల యాజమాన్యాలను కూడా బాధ్యులను చేసే దిశగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
మాదక ద్రవ్యాల నియంత్రణపై ఎంసీఆర్ హెచ్ఆర్డీలోని బోధి పెవిలియన్లో నిర్వహించిన ఉన్నతస్థాయి సమీక్ష సమావేశంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి కీలక సూచనలు చేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో డ్రగ్స్ నియంత్రణకు అమల్లో ఉన్న నిబంధనలను మరింత కఠినతరం చేయడంతో పాటు అవసరమైతే ప్రత్యేక చట్టాన్ని తీసుకురావడంపై అధ్యయనం చేయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
విద్యా సంస్థల క్యాంపస్లలోనే కాకుండా, క్యాంపస్ వెలుపల విద్యార్థులకు సంబంధించిన అనుమానాస్పద డ్రగ్స్ కార్యకలాపాలను గుర్తించి సమాచారం అందించే వ్యవస్థను ఏర్పాటు చేసే అంశాన్ని పరిశీలించాలని సూచించారు. డ్రగ్స్ నిర్మూలనలో విద్యా సంస్థలకు అధికారాలతో పాటు స్పష్టమైన బాధ్యతలు కూడా ఉండాలని పేర్కొన్నారు.
విద్యార్థుల ప్రవర్తనలో మార్పులను గుర్తించేందుకు ప్రతి విద్యా సంస్థలో ప్రత్యేక విభాగాలను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని, డ్రగ్స్కు సంబంధించిన సమాచారం అందించేందుకు టోల్ఫ్రీ నంబర్, ప్రత్యేక క్యూ ఆర్ కోడ్ ఏర్పాటు చేసే అవకాశాన్ని పరిశీలించాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.
డ్రగ్స్కు సంబంధించిన కార్యకలాపాలను గుర్తించడం, డ్రగ్స్ వినియోగదారులను వ్యసన విముక్తి కేంద్రాలకు పంపించడం, కౌన్సిలింగ్ అందించడం, అలాగే పునరావృతంగా నేరాలకు పాల్పడితే కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకునే విధానాన్ని అమలు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆదేశించారు.
ఈ సమావేశంలో ప్రభుత్వ సలహాదారులు, రాష్ట్ర ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి సంజయ్ జాజు, డీజీపీ సీవీ ఆనంద్, ఈగిల్ డైరెక్టర్ సందీప్ శాండిల్యతో పాటు ఇతర ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

The Telangana government is set to tighten measures to curb drug abuse in educational institutions. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed officials to hold the managements of educational institutions accountable for any drug-related incidents occurring on their campuses.
During a high-level review meeting on drug prevention and safety committees held at the Bodhi Pavilion of MCR HRD, the Chief Minister issued several key directions. He instructed officials to examine the possibility of introducing stricter regulations and, if required, a separate law to strengthen the state’s anti-drug framework.
The Chief Minister also asked officials to explore a mechanism for identifying and reporting drug-related activities not only within educational campuses but also in surrounding areas. He said educational institutions should be entrusted with both authority and responsibility in preventing drug abuse among students.
He suggested that institutions establish dedicated units to monitor behavioural changes among students and examine the feasibility of setting up toll-free helplines and special QR codes for reporting drug-related information.
The Chief Minister further directed officials to adopt a three-pronged strategy of identifying drug-related activities, rehabilitating drug users through de-addiction centres and counselling, and imposing strict punishment on repeat offenders.
The meeting was attended by government advisors, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Director General of Police C.V. Anand, EAGLE Director Sandeep Shandilya, and other senior officials.
