తెలంగాణ పోలీస్శాఖ కీలక పరిపాలనా నిర్ణయం తీసుకుంది. ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ విభాగం సమీక్ష ఆధారంగా మాజీ డీజీపీలు, రిటైర్డ్ ఐపీఎస్ అధికారులు, మాజీ ఉన్నతాధికారులు, కొందరు వీఐపీలకు ఇప్పటివరకు కల్పిస్తున్న భద్రతా సౌకర్యాలను పునఃసమీక్షించి అవసరం లేని చోట తగ్గించాలని నిర్ణయించింది.
ఈ నిర్ణయం ప్రకారం బుల్లెట్ప్రూఫ్ వాహనాలు, ఎస్కార్ట్ వాహనాలు, గన్మెన్ల వంటి భద్రతా ఏర్పాట్లను సంబంధిత ముప్పు అంచనా (Threat Assessment) ఆధారంగా తగ్గిస్తున్నారు. మొత్తం 31 మంది మాజీ, ప్రస్తుత పోలీసు ఉన్నతాధికారుల భద్రతలో మార్పులు చేసినట్లు సమాచారం. డీజీపీ కార్యాలయం ద్వారా ఎస్కార్ట్ వాహనాలను సరెండర్ చేసినట్లు నివేదికలు వెల్లడించాయి.
అధికారుల ప్రకారం, ప్రస్తుతం ఉన్న భద్రతా అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా భద్రతా వనరులను సమర్థంగా వినియోగించేందుకు ఈ నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. ఇంటెలిజెన్స్ నివేదికల ఆధారంగానే ప్రతి కేసును విడివిడిగా పరిశీలించి చర్యలు చేపట్టినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.

The Telangana Police Department has taken an important administrative decision by reviewing security arrangements provided to former Directors General of Police, retired IPS officers, former senior officials, and certain VIPs. Based on an intelligence assessment, authorities have decided to withdraw or reduce security facilities where they are no longer considered necessary.
As part of the review, bulletproof vehicles, escort vehicles, and gunmen are being withdrawn or scaled down according to the current threat perception. Reports indicate that security cover for 31 former and serving senior police officials has been revised, and escort vehicles have been surrendered following the review.
