మహబూబ్నగర్ జిల్లా మిడ్జిల్ మండలాన్ని అన్ని రంగాల్లో అభివృద్ధి చెందిన ప్రాంతంగా తీర్చిదిద్దేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం కట్టుబడి ఉందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. తన 20 ఏళ్ల రాజకీయ ప్రస్థానాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని మిడ్జిల్లో పలు అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలకు శంకుస్థాపన చేసిన అనంతరం ఏర్పాటు చేసిన కృతజ్ఞత సభలో ఆయన ప్రసంగించారు.
గత రెండు దశాబ్దాలుగా ప్రజా జీవితంలో ఎప్పుడూ సెలవు తీసుకోలేదని, వచ్చిన ప్రతి అవకాశాన్ని ప్రజల సేవకే వినియోగించుకున్నానని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. ప్రతిపక్షంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు ప్రజా సమస్యల పరిష్కారం కోసం పోరాడానని, అధికారంలోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత సంక్షేమంతో పాటు అభివృద్ధికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఇచ్చామని చెప్పారు.
మిడ్జిల్ మండలంలోని ప్రతి గ్రామానికి అభివృద్ధి చేరాలని, ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని ఆదర్శ మండలంగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని లక్ష్యంగా పెట్టుకున్నామని వెల్లడించారు. ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి భట్టి విక్రమార్క ఈ మండలాన్ని దత్తత తీసుకుని అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను మరింత వేగవంతం చేయాలని కోరారు.
ఒకప్పుడు కరవు, తాగునీటి సమస్యలు, సాగునీటి కొరతతో డార్క్ ఏరియాగా గుర్తింపు పొందిన మిడ్జిల్ ఇప్పుడు వెలుగులు నిండిన అభివృద్ధి మండలంగా మారాలని ఆకాంక్ష వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఈ ప్రాంత ప్రజలే తన రాజకీయ జీవితానికి బలమైన పునాది వేశారని, అందుకే వారికి అభివృద్ధి రూపంలో కృతజ్ఞత చెల్లించాల్సిన బాధ్యత తనపై ఉందన్నారు.
2006లో మిడ్జిల్ ప్రజలు తీసుకున్న రాజకీయ నిర్ణయం తనను ఈరోజు తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి స్థాయికి తీసుకువచ్చిందని గుర్తు చేశారు. జెడ్పీటీసీగా ఎన్నికైన రోజుల నుంచి ఈ ప్రాంత ప్రజలతో తనకు ఉన్న అనుబంధాన్ని స్మరించుకున్నారు.
ప్రభుత్వం ఎస్సీ ఉపకులాల వర్గీకరణ, వెనుకబడిన తరగతుల కులగణన వంటి దశాబ్దాలుగా పెండింగ్లో ఉన్న సమస్యలకు పరిష్కారం చూపిందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. గ్రామాల అభివృద్ధే రాష్ట్రాభివృద్ధికి పునాది అని పేర్కొంటూ ప్రతి గ్రామంలో మౌలిక సదుపాయాల కల్పనకు ప్రభుత్వం ప్రాధాన్యం ఇస్తోందన్నారు.
మిడ్జిల్ మండలానికి అవసరమైన అభివృద్ధి పనులన్నింటినీ పూర్తి చేస్తామని, పాలమూరు ప్రాంతాన్ని వలసల జిల్లాగా కాకుండా అభివృద్ధి జిల్లాగా నిలబెట్టేందుకు ప్రభుత్వం కృషి చేస్తుందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to transforming Midjil Mandal in Mahabubnagar district into a fully developed region. Speaking at a public gratitude meeting after laying foundation stones for several development projects, the Chief Minister highlighted his vision for the area’s long-term growth.
Reflecting on his 20-year political journey, Revanth Reddy said he had never taken a break from public service and had always utilized every opportunity to serve the people. He stated that while in the opposition he fought for public issues, and after assuming office he focused on balancing welfare initiatives with sustainable development.
The Chief Minister emphasized that every village in Midjil should benefit from development and urged Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to adopt the mandal for accelerated development. He said Midjil should emerge as a model mandal with improved infrastructure and public services.
Recalling the region’s past, Revanth Reddy said Midjil was once identified as a drought-prone “dark area” due to water scarcity and lack of infrastructure. He expressed confidence that the mandal would now become a symbol of progress and prosperity through planned government initiatives.
He also remembered that the political support extended by the people of Midjil in 2006 played a decisive role in his public career, eventually leading him to become the Chief Minister of Telangana. He thanked the people for their continued trust and support.
Highlighting the government’s reforms, the Chief Minister said long-pending issues such as SC sub-categorisation and the caste census for Backward Classes had been addressed. He reiterated that strengthening villages remains the foundation for the state’s overall development and assured that every possible effort would be made to improve Midjil and the larger Palamuru region.
