The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has highlighted the administrative reforms undertaken during K. Chandrashekar Rao’s tenure as Telangana marks ten years of district reorganisation.
According to the party’s statement, the previous BRS government increased the number of districts from 10 to 33 to decentralise administration and bring government services closer to the public.
The party said the creation of new districts fulfilled long-standing demands from different regions. It also highlighted the naming of districts to reflect the distinct identity and significance of their respective areas.
BRS stated that residents who previously had to travel around 100 to 150 kilometres to reach their district headquarters gained better access to administrative centres following the reorganisation.
The party also pointed to the establishment of government offices across Telangana and the priority given to the development of healthcare and educational facilities. It said the reorganisation helped bring welfare delivery closer to households.
Marking ten years of the new districts, BRS extended its greetings to the people of Telangana and recalled the administrative changes introduced during the previous government.
The statement presents the party’s assessment of the district reorganisation and its impact on governance.
