మేడ్చల్-మల్కాజిగిరి జిల్లా శామీర్పేట తహసీల్దార్ కార్యాలయంలో అవినీతి నిరోధక శాఖ (ఏసీబీ) అధికారులు మంగళవారం ఆకస్మిక దాడులు నిర్వహించారు. భూమి నాలా కన్వర్షన్ వ్యవహారంలో లంచం డిమాండ్ చేసినట్లు వచ్చిన ఫిర్యాదుల ఆధారంగా ఈ సోదాలు చేపట్టినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ఏసీబీ డీఎస్పీ ఆనంద్ కుమార్ నేతృత్వంలో జరిగిన ఆపరేషన్లో తహసీల్దార్ కార్యాలయానికి చెందిన డ్రైవర్ రూ.2 లక్షలు లంచం తీసుకుంటుండగా రెడ్ హ్యాండెడ్గా పట్టుబడ్డాడు. ఆలియాబాద్ ప్రాంతంలోని సుమారు 30 ఎకరాల భూమి కన్వర్షన్కు సంబంధించి ఎకరానికి రూ.1 లక్ష చొప్పున మొత్తం రూ.30 లక్షలు డిమాండ్ చేసినట్లు ప్రాథమిక విచారణలో తేలినట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
ఈ కేసులో శామీర్పేట తహసీల్దార్ సుచరితతో పాటు కీసర ఆర్డీఓ రాజేష్ మరియు పలువురు సిబ్బందిని అధికారులు విచారిస్తున్నారు. కార్యాలయంలోని కీలక పత్రాలు, భూ అనుమతులకు సంబంధించిన రికార్డులను ఏసీబీ అధికారులు స్వాధీనం చేసుకుని పరిశీలిస్తున్నారు.
విచారణ పూర్తయ్యాక పూర్తి వివరాలు వెల్లడిస్తామని ఏసీబీ అధికారులు తెలిపారు. గతంలో కూడా ఇదే కార్యాలయంలో లంచం కేసు నమోదవడం ప్రస్తుతం స్థానికంగా చర్చనీయాంశంగా మారింది.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted surprise raids at the Shamirpet Tahsildar office in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Tuesday in connection with an alleged bribery case linked to land conversion permissions.
According to ACB officials, the raids were carried out following complaints that officials demanded a large bribe for processing land NALA conversion approvals. During the operation led by Rangareddy ACB DSP Anand Kumar, the Tahsildar’s driver was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting Rs 2 lakh as bribe money.
Preliminary investigation revealed that around Rs 30 lakh was allegedly demanded for conversion of nearly 30 acres of land in Aliabad area, at the rate of Rs 1 lakh per acre.
Officials said records related to land permissions and other important documents were seized from the office for examination. Shamirpet Tahsildar Sucharitha, Keesara RDO Rajesh and several staff members are reportedly being questioned as part of the investigation.
ACB officials stated that detailed information would be disclosed after completion of the inquiry. The latest raids have triggered discussion locally as a similar bribery case was also reported earlier at the same office.
