తెలంగాణలో పెట్రోల్, డీజిల్, ఎల్పీజీ గ్యాస్ కొరత ఉందంటూ సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ అవుతున్న వార్తలను పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ తీవ్రంగా ఖండించింది. రాష్ట్రంలో ఇంధన నిల్వలు పుష్కలంగా ఉన్నాయని, ప్రజలు ఆందోళనతో పెట్రోల్ బంకుల వద్ద క్యూ కట్టవద్దని అధికారులు స్పష్టం చేశారు.
పెట్రోల్, డీజిల్ కొరత ఏర్పడనుందనే ప్రచారం కారణంగా అనేక ప్రాంతాల్లో వాహనదారులు ఒకేసారి బంకుల వద్దకు రావడంతో అనవసర రద్దీ ఏర్పడుతోందని పౌర సరఫరాల శాఖ వెల్లడించింది. ఈ పరిస్థితి కృత్రిమ కొరతకు దారితీసే ప్రమాదం ఉందని హెచ్చరించింది.
శాఖ విడుదల చేసిన గణాంకాల ప్రకారం తెలంగాణలో ప్రతిరోజూ సగటున 24 వేల కిలోలీటర్ల చమురు వినియోగం జరుగుతోంది. ఇందులో 9,574 కిలోలీటర్ల పెట్రోల్, 14,457 కిలోలీటర్ల డీజిల్ సరఫరా నిరంతరాయంగా కొనసాగుతోందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ఎల్పీజీ గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్ల విషయంలో కూడా ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బంది లేదని ప్రభుత్వం స్పష్టం చేసింది. రోజుకు 2.22 లక్షలకు పైగా గ్యాస్ సిలిండర్లు సరఫరా అవుతున్నాయని, ఆయిల్ రిఫైనరీల నుంచి డిపోలు, అక్కడి నుంచి పెట్రోల్ బంకుల వరకు సరఫరా వ్యవస్థ పటిష్టంగా పనిచేస్తోందని వివరించింది.
ప్రజలు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వచ్చే అసత్య ప్రచారాలను నమ్మవద్దని, అధికారిక సమాచారాన్ని మాత్రమే పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకోవాలని అధికారులు విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. ఒకవేళ ఎవరైనా కావాలని కృత్రిమ కొరత సృష్టించినా, ఎంఆర్పీ కంటే ఎక్కువ ధరలకు విక్రయించినా లేదా బ్లాక్ మార్కెటింగ్కు పాల్పడినా కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హెచ్చరించారు.
ఇంధన సరఫరాపై ఫిర్యాదులు లేదా అనుమానాలు ఉంటే వెంటనే టోల్ ఫ్రీ నంబర్ 1967కు సమాచారం ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు.
అయితే క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో మాత్రం కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో భిన్న పరిస్థితులు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. ఖమ్మం, మహబూబాబాద్ జిల్లాల్లో వాహనదారులు పెట్రోల్ బంకుల ముందు బారులు తీరగా, హైదరాబాద్ శివారు ప్రాంతాల్లో కొన్ని బంకుల్లో నో స్టాక్ బోర్డులు కనిపించాయి.
కొన్ని చోట్ల పెట్రోల్ ఉండి డీజిల్ లేకపోవడం, మరికొన్ని చోట్ల డీజిల్ ఉండి పెట్రోల్ లేకపోవడం వంటి పరిస్థితులు నమోదయ్యాయి. ఆయిల్ కంపెనీలకు ముందస్తు చెల్లింపుల సమస్యలే ఇందుకు కారణమని బంకుల యజమానులు చెబుతున్నారు.

The Civil Supplies Department has strongly denied viral social media claims suggesting a shortage of petrol, diesel, and LPG gas in Telangana. Officials clarified that fuel reserves across the state are sufficient and urged people not to panic or rush to petrol bunks unnecessarily.
According to the department, rumours about a fuel shortage have caused unnecessary crowding at petrol stations in several districts. Officials warned that panic buying could create an artificial shortage even when actual supplies remain stable.
As per the latest official data, Telangana consumes nearly 24,000 kilolitres of petroleum products every day. This includes 9,574 kilolitres of petrol and 14,457 kilolitres of diesel, both of which are being supplied without interruption.
The government also confirmed that there is no shortage of LPG cylinders. More than 2.22 lakh gas cylinders are being supplied daily across the state. Officials stated that the supply chain from oil refineries to depots and from depots to fuel stations remains strong and uninterrupted.
The department appealed to citizens not to believe unverified social media rumours and to rely only on official government communication. It also warned of strict action against those creating artificial shortages, selling fuel above MRP, or engaging in black marketing.
Consumers facing fuel-related issues or suspecting irregularities have been asked to contact the toll-free helpline number 1967 immediately.
However, ground-level reports show some localised issues in districts like Khammam and Mahabubabad, where vehicle owners were seen waiting in long queues at petrol bunks. In Hyderabad outskirts too, some fuel stations displayed “No Stock” boards.
In several locations, either petrol or diesel was unavailable depending on supply status. Petrol bunk owners said advance payment issues with oil companies were affecting immediate stock availability.
