తెలంగాణ రాజకీయాల్లో గులాబీ పార్టీగా గుర్తింపు పొందిన భారత రాష్ట్ర సమితి (గతంలో తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి) 25 ఏళ్ల ప్రస్థానాన్ని పూర్తి చేసుకుంది. 2001 ఏప్రిల్ 27న కల్వకుంట్ల చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సాధనే లక్ష్యంగా తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితిని స్థాపించారు.
ఆ సమయంలో ప్రత్యేక రాష్ట్రం కోసం తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతంలో బలమైన రాజకీయ వేదిక అవసరమని భావించిన కేసీఆర్, టీఆర్ఎస్ను ప్రజా ఉద్యమ పార్టీగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. ప్రారంభ దశలో ఎన్నో రాజకీయ ఆటుపోట్లను ఎదుర్కొన్నప్పటికీ పార్టీ వెనుకడుగు వేయలేదు.
మలిదశ తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమంలో టీఆర్ఎస్ కీలక పాత్ర పోషించింది. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర అవసరాన్ని ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లి ఉద్యమాన్ని బలపరిచింది. కేసీఆర్ చేపట్టిన ఆమరణ నిరాహార దీక్ష తర్వాత కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఏర్పాటు దిశగా ముందడుగు వేసింది.
చివరకు 2014లో ప్రత్యేక తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం ఏర్పడింది. ఇది టీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ సాధించిన అతిపెద్ద రాజకీయ విజయంగా నిలిచింది. ఉద్యమ పార్టీగా ప్రారంభమైన టీఆర్ఎస్, అదే ఏడాది అధికారంలోకి వచ్చి తెలంగాణ తొలి ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసింది.
కేసీఆర్ తెలంగాణ తొలి ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా బాధ్యతలు చేపట్టి రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధిపై దృష్టి పెట్టారు. మిషన్ భగీరథ, మిషన్ కాకతీయ, రైతు బంధు, కళ్యాణ లక్ష్మి వంటి పథకాలతో గ్రామీణ మరియు పట్టణ ప్రాంతాల్లో ప్రజలకు చేరువయ్యారు.
హైదరాబాద్ నగరం ఐటీ, ఫార్మా రంగాల్లో వేగంగా అభివృద్ధి చెందగా, కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్టు వంటి భారీ ప్రాజెక్టులతో రాష్ట్ర అభివృద్ధికి కొత్త దిశ ఇచ్చారు. దాదాపు పదేళ్ల పాలనలో టీఆర్ఎస్ తెలంగాణపై తనదైన ముద్ర వేసింది.
తర్వాత జాతీయ రాజకీయాల్లో విస్తరణ లక్ష్యంగా పార్టీ పేరును భారత రాష్ట్ర సమితి (బీఆర్ఎస్)గా మార్చారు. అయితే ప్రస్తుతం తెలంగాణలోనే పార్టీకి కొత్త రాజకీయ సవాళ్లు ఎదురవుతున్నాయి. ముఖ్యంగా ఎమ్మెల్సీ కవిత వ్యవహారం పార్టీ అంతర్గత రాజకీయాల్లో కొత్త చర్చకు దారితీస్తోంది.
25 ఏళ్ల ప్రస్థానంలో ఉద్యమం నుంచి అధికారానికి, ఇప్పుడు తిరిగి రాజకీయ పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణ దశకు చేరిన గులాబీ పార్టీ భవిష్యత్ రాజకీయ వ్యూహాలపై అందరి దృష్టి నిలిచింది.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi), widely known as the pink party in Telangana politics, has completed 25 years of its political journey. The party was founded by K. Chandrashekar Rao on April 27, 2001, with the sole aim of achieving a separate Telangana state.
At that time, KCR believed Telangana needed a strong political platform dedicated to the statehood movement. He built TRS as a mass movement party focused on regional identity and statehood demands.
Despite facing several political challenges in its early years, the party remained committed to the Telangana cause. TRS played a major role in the second phase of the Telangana movement and successfully mobilized public support across districts.
KCR’s indefinite hunger strike became a major turning point, forcing the Central government to move forward on the Telangana statehood issue. Finally, in 2014, Telangana was officially formed as a separate state, marking the biggest political victory for TRS.
The same year, TRS came to power and formed the first government in Telangana. KCR became the first Chief Minister and launched several welfare and development schemes including Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, and Kalyana Lakshmi.
Hyderabad also witnessed rapid expansion in IT and pharma sectors during the decade-long rule. Major projects like Kaleshwaram were projected as symbols of large-scale development across the state.
Later, aiming for national political expansion, TRS was renamed as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). However, the party is now facing fresh political challenges within Telangana itself.
Recent political developments involving MLC Kavitha have added new internal pressure for the party. As BRS completes 25 years, political observers are closely watching how the party reshapes its future strategy in Telangana politics.
