ఆర్టీసీ బకాయిలపై ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ప్రశ్నించిన బీఆర్ఎస్.. రిటైర్డ్ ఉద్యోగులకు బెనిఫిట్స్ చెల్లించాలని డిమాండ్
తెలంగాణ ఆర్టీసీకి ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి రావాల్సిన రూ.2,600 కోట్ల బకాయిలను వెంటనే విడుదల చేయాలని, విశ్రాంత ఉద్యోగులకు పెండింగ్లో ఉన్న రిటైర్మెంట్ ప్రయోజనాలను చెల్లించాలని బీఆర్ఎస్ డిమాండ్ చేసింది. ఆర్టీసీ లాభాల్లో ఉందని ప్రభుత్వం చెబుతున్నప్పటికీ, ఉద్యోగులు, విశ్రాంత కార్మికులకు రావాల్సిన బకాయిలు చెల్లించకపోవడం విరుద్ధ పరిస్థితులకు నిదర్శనమని విమర్శించింది.
వేదికలపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆర్టీసీ వేల కోట్ల లాభాల్లో ఉందని చెబుతున్నారని, అయితే ఆర్టీసీ ఎండీ ప్రభుత్వం నుంచి రూ.2,600 కోట్ల బకాయిలు రావాల్సి ఉందని లేఖ రాశారని బీఆర్ఎస్ పేర్కొంది. ఆర్టీసీ ఆర్థిక పరిస్థితిపై ప్రభుత్వం చెబుతున్న లెక్కలకు, క్షేత్రస్థాయిలో ఉద్యోగులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న పరిస్థితులకు పొంతన లేదని విమర్శించింది.
ప్రభుత్వ బకాయిలు విడుదల కాకపోవడంతో ఉద్యోగులకు పీఆర్సీ, ఏరియర్స్ అందడం లేదని బీఆర్ఎస్ ఆరోపించింది. 30 నుంచి 40 ఏళ్ల పాటు ఆర్టీసీకి సేవలందించిన సుమారు 18 వేల మంది విశ్రాంత ఉద్యోగులకు ఇప్పటికీ రిటైర్మెంట్ బెనిఫిట్స్ అందలేదని పేర్కొంది. తమ సేవలకు రావాల్సిన మొత్తాల కోసం వారు కార్యాలయాల చుట్టూ తిరగాల్సిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడిందని విమర్శించింది.
పెన్షన్ సౌకర్యం లేని విశ్రాంత ఉద్యోగులకు గ్రాట్యుటీ, లీవ్ ఎన్క్యాష్మెంట్, పీఆర్సీ ఏరియర్స్, ఇతర రిటైర్మెంట్ బెనిఫిట్సే ప్రధాన ఆర్థిక ఆధారమని బీఆర్ఎస్ తెలిపింది. తీవ్ర ఆర్థిక ఇబ్బందుల కారణంగా ఇప్పటికే 400 మంది రిటైర్డ్ ఉద్యోగులు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారని పేర్కొంటూ, ఈ పరిస్థితిపై ప్రభుత్వం స్పందించాలని డిమాండ్ చేసింది.
ఆర్టీసీ లాభాల్లో ఉందని ప్రచారం చేయడం కంటే ఉద్యోగులు, విశ్రాంత కార్మికులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్న సమస్యలను పరిష్కరించడంపై ప్రభుత్వం దృష్టి పెట్టాలని బీఆర్ఎస్ సూచించింది. రూ.2,600 కోట్ల ప్రభుత్వ బకాయిలను తక్షణమే విడుదల చేయడంతో పాటు సుమారు 18 వేల మంది విశ్రాంత ఉద్యోగులకు రావాల్సిన పీఆర్సీ ఏరియర్స్, గ్రాట్యుటీ, లీవ్ ఎన్క్యాష్మెంట్, రిటైర్మెంట్ బెనిఫిట్స్ను వెంటనే చెల్లించాలని డిమాండ్ చేసింది.
BRS questions government over TSRTC dues, demands payment of retirement benefits
The BRS has demanded the immediate release of Rs.2,600 crore allegedly pending from the Telangana government to the TSRTC and the payment of long-pending retirement benefits to retired employees. The party criticised the government for claiming that the corporation was making profits while employees and retirees were reportedly awaiting their dues.
According to the BRS, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has claimed at public platforms that the RTC is earning profits running into thousands of crores, while the TSRTC Managing Director has reportedly written to the government seeking clearance of Rs.2,600 crore in pending dues.
The BRS alleged that the delay in releasing government dues has affected the payment of PRC benefits and arrears to employees. It further claimed that around 18,000 retired employees, who served the RTC for three to four decades, were still awaiting retirement-related benefits.
The party said gratuity, leave encashment, PRC arrears and other retirement benefits were particularly important for retired employees without a pension facility. It also alleged that around 400 retired employees had died amid severe financial difficulties, and called for immediate government intervention.
The BRS urged the Telangana government to release the reported Rs.2,600 crore dues without further delay and clear the pending PRC arrears, gratuity, leave encashment and retirement benefits of the retired employees.
