హైదరాబాద్లో మొబైల్ ఫోన్లు పోగొట్టుకున్న బాధితులకు అత్తాపూర్ పోలీసులు ఊరట కల్పించారు. సెంట్రల్ ఎక్విప్మెంట్ ఐడెంటిటీ రిజిస్టర్ (సీఈఐఆర్) పోర్టల్ సహాయంతో సుమారు రూ.2 లక్షల విలువైన 25 మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను పోలీసులు రికవరీ చేసి, వాటిని సంబంధిత బాధితులకు అప్పగించారు.
అత్తాపూర్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్లో నిర్వహించిన కార్యక్రమంలో బాధితుల వివరాలు, ఆధారాలను పోలీసులు పరిశీలించి ధ్రువీకరించిన అనంతరం రికవరీ చేసిన ఫోన్లను వారికి అందజేశారు.
అత్తాపూర్ ఎస్హెచ్ఓ ఎ. సీతయ్య ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఈ చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. కార్యక్రమంలో డీఐ రాజు నాయక్తో పాటు క్రైమ్ టీమ్ సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు. ఫోన్లు తిరిగి లభించడంతో బాధితులు అత్తాపూర్ పోలీసులకు, క్రైమ్ టీమ్కు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.
మొబైల్ ఫోన్ పోగొట్టుకున్నా లేదా దొంగతనానికి గురైనా వెంటనే స్థానిక పోలీసులను సంప్రదించాలని ఎస్హెచ్ఓ సూచించారు. అలాగే ఫోన్కు సంబంధించిన ఐఎంఈఐ నంబర్ను సీఈఐఆర్ పోర్టల్లో బ్లాక్ చేసే ప్రక్రియను చేపట్టాలని సూచించారు.
సీఈఐఆర్ వ్యవస్థ ద్వారా పోగొట్టుకున్న మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను గుర్తించి వాటి వినియోగాన్ని నిరోధించేందుకు అవకాశం ఉండటంతో, బాధితులు ఫోన్ పోయిన వెంటనే పోలీసులకు సమాచారం ఇవ్వడం, అవసరమైన వివరాలను సమర్పించడం కీలకంగా మారింది.

Hyderabad’s Attapur Police have provided relief to mobile phone owners by recovering 25 lost phones with the help of the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. The recovered phones, collectively valued at around ₹2 lakh, were handed over to their respective owners.
The phones were returned after police verified the details and supporting documents submitted by the victims. The handover was carried out under the supervision of Attapur SHO A. Seethaiah.
The programme was attended by DI Raju Naik and members of the Attapur crime team. The beneficiaries thanked the Attapur Police and the crime team after receiving their recovered mobile phones.
The SHO advised people who lose their mobile phones or become victims of mobile theft to immediately approach the local police. He also advised them to use the CEIR portal to block the device using its IMEI number.
The CEIR system can help authorities block and trace lost or stolen mobile devices. Police advised mobile users to promptly report such incidents and provide the required device and ownership details to facilitate recovery efforts.
