తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో రానున్న భారీ అభివృద్ధి ప్రాజెక్టుల నేపథ్యంలో విద్యుత్ సరఫరా వ్యవస్థను బలోపేతం చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి Revanth Reddy అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. నూతన పారిశ్రామిక వాడలు, హైస్పీడ్ రైల్ కారిడార్లు, ట్రిపుల్ ఆర్ వంటి ప్రాజెక్టులకు అనుగుణంగా విద్యుత్ డిమాండ్ పెరగనున్న నేపథ్యంలో సబ్స్టేషన్ల నిర్మాణాన్ని వెంటనే ప్రారంభించాలని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
విద్యుత్ శాఖపై జరిగిన ఉన్నత స్థాయి సమీక్ష సమావేశంలో ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, ఎంపీ Vem Narender Reddy మరియు ఇంధన శాఖ సీనియర్ అధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో భవిష్యత్తు అవసరాలను దృష్టిలో ఉంచుకుని ముందస్తు చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సీఎం సూచించారు.
గ్రీన్ ఎనర్జీ పాలసీ అమలులో భాగంగా ప్రాధాన్య క్రమంలో దరఖాస్తు చేసిన వారికి అనుమతులు త్వరగా మంజూరు చేయాలని అధికారులకు ఆదేశించారు. ముఖ్యంగా భారీ డేటా సెంటర్లకు అవసరమైన విద్యుత్ అనుమతులను ఆలస్యం లేకుండా ఇవ్వాలని పేర్కొన్నారు.
సోలార్ పవర్ వినియోగాన్ని ప్రోత్సహిస్తూ స్వయం సహాయక సంఘాల మహిళలకు అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించాలని సీఎం సూచించారు. అదేవిధంగా సోలార్ స్టౌల వినియోగంపై ప్రజల్లో చైతన్యం పెంచాలని అన్నారు.
విద్యుత్ సబ్స్టేషన్ల పక్కనే సోలార్ పవర్ ప్లాంట్లు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రభుత్వం నిర్ణయించింది. పైలట్ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కింద ఉమ్మడి జిల్లాల్లో రెండు సబ్స్టేషన్ల వద్ద ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా సోలార్ ప్లాంట్లు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని సూచించారు. మొత్తం 18 సోలార్ పవర్ ప్లాంట్ల నిర్మాణానికి నోడల్ అధికారులను నియమించాలని ఆదేశించారు.
విద్యుత్ సరఫరాలో లోపాలను తగ్గించడానికి కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు (AI) సాంకేతికతను వినియోగించాలని సీఎం పేర్కొన్నారు. అలాగే తెలంగాణ రైతు పవర్ డిస్ట్రిబ్యూషన్ కంపెనీ లిమిటెడ్ (Rythu Discom)లో చేరికపై ఉన్న అపోహలను తొలగించాలని అధికారులకు సూచించారు.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to immediately begin construction of new power substations to meet the rising electricity demand driven by upcoming large-scale development projects in the state.
With major infrastructure initiatives such as new industrial clusters, high-speed rail corridors, and the proposed Triple R project in the pipeline, the state anticipates a significant surge in power requirements. The Chief Minister emphasized proactive planning to ensure uninterrupted supply.
During a high-level review meeting on the power sector, attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, MP Vem Narender Reddy, and senior energy department officials, the CM stressed the need for immediate execution of infrastructure upgrades.
As part of the Green Energy Policy, officials were instructed to prioritize approvals for pending applications. Special emphasis was placed on granting swift permissions for large data centers that require substantial power supply.
The government is also focusing on promoting solar energy adoption. The CM directed authorities to create awareness among self-help group women regarding solar power usage and to promote solar cooking solutions among the public.
In a key initiative, solar power plants will be set up adjacent to power substations. Under a pilot project, two substations in each erstwhile district will host solar plants. A total of 18 such solar projects will be implemented, with dedicated nodal officers appointed for execution.
Additionally, the CM highlighted the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to improve power supply efficiency and reduce system losses. Officials were also instructed to address concerns and misconceptions among employees regarding integration into the Telangana Rythu Power Distribution Company Limited (Rythu Discom).
