BBC Collective Newsroom Meets Telangana CM Revanth Reddy | Women’s Sports Survey
లీడ్: తెలంగాణలో క్రీడల అభివృద్ధికి ప్రభుత్వం అమలు చేస్తున్న కార్యక్రమాలను ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వివరించగా, మహిళల క్రీడలపై బీబీసీ కలెక్టివ్ న్యూస్రూమ్ నిర్వహించిన సర్వే నివేదికను ప్రతినిధులు అందజేశారు.

తెలంగాణ ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డిని కలెక్టివ్ న్యూస్రూమ్ (బీబీసీ ఇండియన్ లాంగ్వేజెస్ ఏకైక ప్రచురణ సంస్థ) సీఈఓ రూపా ఝా, బీబీసీ న్యూస్ తెలుగు ఎడిటర్ జి.ఎస్. రామ్మోహన్ మర్యాదపూర్వకంగా కలిశారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా మహిళల క్రీడలు, మహిళా క్రీడాకారిణులు, భారతదేశంలో మహిళల పట్ల ఉన్న అభిప్రాయాలపై బీబీసీ కలెక్టివ్ న్యూస్రూమ్ నిర్వహించిన సర్వే ఆధారంగా రూపొందించిన “Attitudes towards Women’s Sports, Sportswomen and Women in India” పుస్తకాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రికి అందజేశారు. అలాగే ఆ సర్వేలోని ముఖ్యాంశాలను వివరించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం క్రీడల అభివృద్ధికి చేపడుతున్న చర్యలను వివరించారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని క్రీడాకారులను ప్రోత్సహించేందుకు అమలు చేస్తున్న పథకాలు, ప్రోత్సాహకాలు, సౌకర్యాల గురించి వివరించడంతో పాటు, జాతీయ, అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయిలో రాణించేందుకు అవసరమైన మద్దతును ప్రభుత్వం అందిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
Chief Minister of Telangana A. Revanth Reddy was courteously called on by Rupa Jha, CEO of Collective Newsroom, the sole publisher of BBC Indian Languages, along with G.S. Rammohan, Editor of BBC News Telugu.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the Chief Minister with the book titled “Attitudes towards Women’s Sports, Sportswomen and Women in India,” based on a BBC Collective Newsroom survey. They also briefed him on the survey’s key findings regarding public perceptions of women’s sports and women athletes in India.
The Chief Minister highlighted the Telangana Government’s initiatives to strengthen sports infrastructure and promote sporting talent across the state. He explained the measures, incentives and support being extended to athletes to help them achieve success at both national and international levels.
