పోలీసుల వివరాల ప్రకారం, నల్గొండ సీసీఎస్ బృందం భూష్మి శ్రీకాంత్ను అరెస్ట్ చేయడానికి వెళ్లింది. ఈ సమయంలో నిందితుడు ఓ కానిస్టేబుల్పై దాడి చేసి అక్కడి నుంచి తప్పించుకునేందుకు ప్రయత్నించినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
పరిస్థితిని అదుపులోకి తీసుకురావడానికి పోలీసులు హెచ్చరికల అనంతరం కాల్పులు జరిపినట్లు సమాచారం. కాల్పుల్లో గాయపడిన శ్రీకాంత్ను చికిత్స కోసం ఆసుపత్రికి తరలించారు. గాయపడిన కానిస్టేబుల్కు కూడా వైద్య చికిత్స అందిస్తున్నారు.

A wanted criminal was injured in police firing during an arrest operation near Bongulur Gate on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Adibatla on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The accused, identified as Bhushmi Srikanth, who was wanted by the Nalgonda CCS police, was taken into custody after the incident.
According to police, a Nalgonda CCS team had traced Srikanth and launched an operation to arrest him. During the operation, the accused allegedly attacked a police constable and attempted to flee from the spot.
Police said they opened fire to prevent his escape after the situation escalated. Srikanth sustained injuries in the firing and was shifted to a hospital under police security. The injured constable was also provided medical treatment.
Police have registered a case and are continuing the investigation. Officials are also examining the circumstances that led to the firing and reviewing the pending criminal cases against the accused.
