హైదరాబాద్లోని ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ తన 85వ స్నాతకోత్సవాన్ని 2026 సెప్టెంబర్ రెండో వారంలో నిర్వహించనున్నట్లు వైస్ చాన్సలర్ ప్రొఫెసర్ కుమార్ మొలుగారం ప్రకటించారు. ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ క్యాంపస్లోని ఠాగూర్ ఆడిటోరియంలో ఈ స్నాతకోత్సవం జరగనుంది.
విశ్వవిద్యాలయ రిజిస్ట్రార్ ప్రొఫెసర్ జి. నరేష్ రెడ్డి, వైస్ చాన్సలర్ ఓఎస్డీ మరియు సామాజిక శాస్త్రాల విభాగ డీన్ ప్రొఫెసర్ జితేందర్ నాయక్, పరీక్షల నియంత్రణాధికారి ప్రొఫెసర్ బి. సుధాకర్ రెడ్డి సమక్షంలో ఈ ప్రకటన చేశారు. మీడియాతో మాట్లాడిన వైస్ చాన్సలర్, స్నాతకోత్సవం విశ్వవిద్యాలయ విద్యా క్యాలెండర్లో అత్యంత ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మక కార్యక్రమాల్లో ఒకటని తెలిపారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా వివిధ విభాగాల్లో పట్టభద్రులు, స్నాతకోత్తర విద్యార్థులు, పీహెచ్డీ పరిశోధకులకు డిగ్రీలు, డిప్లొమాలు, స్వర్ణ పతకాలు ప్రదానం చేయనున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. 1917లో స్థాపించబడిన ఉస్మానియా యూనివర్సిటీ శతాబ్దానికి పైగా ఉన్నత విద్య, పరిశోధన, ఆవిష్కరణలు మరియు సమగ్ర విద్యాభివృద్ధికి సేవలందిస్తూ దేశంలో ప్రముఖ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంగా కొనసాగుతోందని పేర్కొన్నారు.
రిజిస్ట్రార్ ప్రొఫెసర్ జి. నరేష్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, స్నాతకోత్సవ ఏర్పాట్లను అన్ని అనుబంధ కళాశాలలతో సమన్వయం చేస్తున్నామని, డిగ్రీలు, గోల్డ్ మెడల్స్కు సంబంధించిన నమోదు మార్గదర్శకాలను త్వరలో అధికారిక వెబ్సైట్లో విడుదల చేస్తామని తెలిపారు.
పరీక్షల నియంత్రణాధికారి ప్రొఫెసర్ బి. సుధాకర్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, అర్హులైన విద్యార్థులు, పీహెచ్డీ పరిశోధకులు, గోల్డ్ మెడల్ గ్రహీతలకు అధికారిక నోటిఫికేషన్లు జారీ చేస్తామని, స్నాతకోత్సవానికి ముందుగానే అవసరమైన ప్రక్రియలను పూర్తి చేయాలని సూచించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా విద్యార్థులు, తల్లిదండ్రులు, అధ్యాపకులు, పూర్వ విద్యార్థులు మరియు శ్రేయోభిలాషులు అందరూ ఈ చారిత్రాత్మక వేడుకలో పాల్గొని “Celebrating Achievement, Inspiring Futures” అనే అంశాన్ని ప్రతిబింబించే ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని విజయవంతం చేయాలని విశ్వవిద్యాలయం ఆహ్వానించింది.

Osmania University has announced that its 85th Convocation will be held in the second week of September 2026 at the Tagore Auditorium on the university campus in Hyderabad. The announcement was made by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram in the presence of Registrar Prof. G. Naresh Reddy, OSD to the Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Jitender Naik, and Controller of Examinations Prof. B. Sudhakar Reddy.
Addressing the media, the Vice-Chancellor described the Convocation as one of the University’s most prestigious academic ceremonies, during which degrees, diplomas and gold medals will be conferred upon graduates, postgraduates and doctoral scholars across various faculties.
He said the 85th Convocation marks another milestone in the University’s journey since its establishment in 1917, reflecting its continued commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation and inclusive higher education. He added that the Convocation is not merely a ceremonial event but a celebration of students’ academic achievements and the University’s vision of “Educate, Empower and Excel.”
Registrar Prof. G. Naresh Reddy stated that arrangements are being coordinated with constituent and affiliated colleges, while detailed guidelines for degree and medal registration will soon be published on the University’s official website.
Controller of Examinations Prof. B. Sudhakar Reddy said eligible graduates, including Ph.D. scholars and gold medal recipients, will receive official notifications and advised them to complete all required formalities well before the Convocation.
The University has invited graduating students, parents, faculty members and well-wishers to participate in the ceremony themed “Celebrating Achievement, Inspiring Futures.”
