శామీర్పేట మండలం అలియాబాద్ మున్సిపాలిటీ పరిధిలోని మజీద్పూర్ జంక్షన్ వద్ద రోడ్డు ప్రమాదాల నివారణకు అధికారులు సంయుక్తంగా పరిశీలన నిర్వహించారు. శుక్రవారం “అరైవ్ అలైవ్” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా ఆర్టీవో రఘునందన్ గౌడ్, మేడ్చల్ ఏసీపీ శంకర్ రెడ్డి నేతృత్వంలో పలు శాఖల అధికారులు ప్రమాదాలకు అధికంగా గురయ్యే బ్లాక్ స్పాట్లను గుర్తించారు.
మజీద్పూర్ జంక్షన్ వద్ద తగినంత వీధి దీపాలు లేకపోవడం, రోడ్లు సక్రమంగా లేకపోవడం, లోపభూయిష్ట ట్రాఫిక్ ఐలాండ్లు, తగిన సైన్ బోర్డులు లేకపోవడం వంటి ప్రధాన సమస్యలను అధికారులు గుర్తించారు. అదనంగా సర్వీస్ రోడ్ లేకపోవడం, అధిక వేగంతో వాహనాలు నడపడం, చెట్ల వల్ల విజిబిలిటీ తగ్గిపోవడం, రోడ్డు మలుపులు ప్రమాదకరంగా ఉండడం వంటి అంశాలు ప్రమాదాలకు ప్రధాన కారణాలుగా గుర్తించారు.
ఈ సమస్యల పరిష్కారానికి సంబంధిత శాఖల అధికారులు చర్చించి పలు చర్యలపై ఏకాభిప్రాయం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. సరైన వీధి దీపాల ఏర్పాటు, రోడ్డు రూపకల్పన మెరుగుదల, ట్రాఫిక్ ఐలాండ్ల సరిదిద్దడం, తగిన సైన్ బోర్డుల ఏర్పాటు, సర్వీస్ రోడ్ అభివృద్ధి, వేగ నియంత్రణ చర్యలు అమలు చేయాలని నిర్ణయించారు.
అలాగే విజిబిలిటీ మెరుగుపరచడానికి చెట్ల కత్తిరింపు, ప్రమాదకర రోడ్డు మలుపుల సర్దుబాటు వంటి అంశాలకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు. ఈ చర్యల అమలుకు సంబంధించి ఆర్ అండ్ బి చీఫ్ ఇంజనీర్కు సంయుక్తంగా లేఖ పంపినట్లు అధికారులు తెలిపారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో జీనోమ్ వ్యాలీ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ గురువయ్య, ఆర్ అండ్ బి డీఈ శంకరయ్య, అలియాబాద్ మున్సిపల్ కమిషనర్ చంద్రశేఖర్, మేడ్చల్ ట్రాఫిక్ ఇన్స్పెక్టర్ మధు తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

Officials from multiple departments conducted a joint inspection at Majidpur Junction in Aliabad Municipality limits of Shameerpet mandal to prevent road accidents and improve road safety.
As part of the “Arrive Alive” road safety initiative held on Friday, RTO Raghunandan Goud and Medchal ACP Shankar Reddy led the inspection to identify black spots that are highly prone to accidents.
During the inspection, officials found several major issues including insufficient street lighting, damaged road conditions, defective traffic islands, and lack of proper signboards at Majidpur Junction. They also identified the absence of a service road, overspeeding by motorists, reduced visibility due to roadside trees, and dangerous road curves as key reasons for frequent accidents.
After discussions among all concerned departments, officials reached a consensus on several corrective measures. These include installation of proper street lights, redesign of the road structure, correction of traffic islands, placement of adequate signboards, development of service roads, and implementation of speed control measures.
They also stressed the need for trimming roadside trees to improve visibility and modifying dangerous road curves to reduce accident risks. A joint letter has been sent to the R&B Chief Engineer requesting priority implementation of these safety measures.
Genome Valley Inspector Guruvayya, R&B DE Shankaraiah, Aliabad Municipal Commissioner Chandrasekhar, Medchal Traffic Inspector Madhu and other officials participated in the inspection.
