సమాచారం అందుకున్న అగ్నిమాపక సిబ్బంది సంఘటనా స్థలానికి చేరుకుని మంటలను అదుపులోకి తీసుకొచ్చారు. ఈ ఘటన కారణంగా ORRపై కొంతసేపు ట్రాఫిక్ నిలిచిపోయింది. పోలీసులు ట్రాఫిక్ను మళ్లించి పరిస్థితిని నియంత్రించారు.
బస్సుకు మంటలు చెలరేగడానికి గల కారణాలపై అధికారులు దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు. ఎటువంటి ప్రాణనష్టం జరగకపోవడం ఉపశమనం కలిగించింది. హైదరాబాద్ ORRపై వరుసగా చోటుచేసుకుంటున్న అగ్నిప్రమాదాలు వాహనాల భద్రత, నిర్వహణపై మళ్లీ చర్చకు దారితీశాయి.

A major accident was averted on Tuesday morning after a moving bus caught fire on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road near Abdullapurmet in Hyderabad district.
According to officials, the bus was travelling from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport side towards Hayathnagar when flames suddenly emerged from the engine compartment. The driver noticed smoke and immediately stopped the vehicle on the roadside.
Passengers were safely evacuated before the fire spread further. The incident triggered panic among motorists travelling on the busy ORR stretch.
Fire department personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. Due to the incident, traffic movement on the ORR was disrupted for some time, leading to congestion in the area. Police later cleared the route and restored traffic flow.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. The latest accident has once again raised concerns over vehicle maintenance and passenger safety on Hyderabad’s high-speed Outer Ring Road corridor.
