Global Universities Set for Hyderabad
హైదరాబాద్ను ప్రపంచ స్థాయి విద్యా కేంద్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దే దిశగా తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం కీలక అడుగులు వేస్తోంది. యూకే, అమెరికా పర్యటనలో ప్రముఖ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలతో కుదిరిన భాగస్వామ్యాలను వేగంగా అమలు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్రెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత యూనివర్సిటీలకు హైదరాబాద్లో ఆఫ్షోర్ క్యాంపస్లు.. గ్లోబల్ నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్గా తెలంగాణ
యూకే, అమెరికాలో తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్ ప్రతినిధి బృందం పర్యటనలో సాధించిన పురోగతిని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్రెడ్డి సమీక్షించారు. ప్రపంచంలోని అత్యుత్తమ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలు, కళాశాలలు, పాఠశాలలను హైదరాబాద్కు తీసుకురావాలనే లక్ష్యంతో ఆఫ్షోర్ క్యాంపస్లు, వ్యూహాత్మక భాగస్వామ్యాల ఏర్పాటును ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
ఐటీ, పరిశ్రమల శాఖ మంత్రి ఆధ్వర్యంలో జరిగిన ప్రతినిధి బృందం పర్యటనలో ప్రపంచంలోని ప్రముఖ విద్యాసంస్థలతో కీలక చర్చలు జరిగాయి. బోస్టన్కు చెందిన నార్త్ఈస్టర్న్ యూనివర్సిటీ, యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ హైదరాబాద్లో భారత్లో తమ తొలి ఆఫ్షోర్ క్యాంపస్లను ఏర్పాటు చేయనున్నాయి.
లండన్ స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ ఎకనామిక్స్, SOASతో ఆఫ్షోర్ స్కూళ్లు, పరిశ్రమల భాగస్వామ్యాలు, నూతన బోధనా విధానాలు, అధ్యాపకుల భాగస్వామ్యంపై చర్చలు కొనసాగనున్నాయి. హార్వర్డ్ యూనివర్సిటీ ఆధ్వర్యంలో సీనియర్ ప్రభుత్వ, కార్పొరేట్ అధికారుల కోసం డాక్టర్ ఎంసీఆర్ హెచ్ఆర్డీ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్లో స్వల్పకాలిక ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్ కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రారంభించేందుకు చర్యలు చేపట్టనున్నారు.
ఆక్స్ఫర్డ్, ఎంఐటీ, కేంబ్రిడ్జ్, ఇంపీరియల్ కాలేజ్ లండన్, లండన్ బిజినెస్ స్కూల్ వంటి ప్రముఖ సంస్థలతోనూ ప్రతినిధి బృందం చర్చలు జరిపింది. అమెరికాలోని నార్త్ఈస్టర్న్ యూనివర్సిటీ, వర్జీనియా టెక్ యూనివర్సిటీలతో ఒప్పందాలు కుదిరాయి. మరిన్ని విద్యా భాగస్వామ్యాలు కూడా pipelineలో ఉన్నట్లు ప్రభుత్వం వెల్లడించింది.
ఈ అంతర్జాతీయ విద్యా భాగస్వామ్యాల ద్వారా తెలంగాణ, దేశంలోని విద్యార్థులు, యువత, నిపుణులకు ప్రపంచ స్థాయి విద్య, నైపుణ్యాలు, పరిశోధన, ఆవిష్కరణలు మరింత చేరువ కానున్నాయి. తద్వారా హైదరాబాద్ను ప్రపంచ స్థాయి నాలెడ్జ్, టాలెంట్ కేంద్రంగా అభివృద్ధి చేయాలనే లక్ష్యానికి బలం చేకూరనుంది.
2047 నాటికి తెలంగాణ ఆర్థిక వ్యవస్థను 3 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లాలన్న లక్ష్యాన్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్రెడ్డి పునరుద్ఘాటించారు. 2034 నాటికి 1 ట్రిలియన్ డాలర్ల మధ్యంతర లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించేందుకు విద్య, నైపుణ్యాలు, ఆవిష్కరణలు, సాంకేతికత, పరిశ్రమలను ప్రధాన చోదక శక్తులుగా ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోంది.
గ్లోబల్ నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లేందుకు ప్రత్యేక టాస్క్ఫోర్స్ను ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని కూడా ముఖ్యమంత్రి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. తెలంగాణతో పాటు దేశంలోని యువత, పిల్లలకు అత్యుత్తమ విద్యా అవకాశాలు అందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు. టెక్నాలజీ హబ్గా ఎదిగిన హైదరాబాద్ను గ్లోబల్ నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్గా మార్చే దిశగా ఈ భాగస్వామ్యాలు కీలకంగా మారనున్నాయి.
Hyderabad is set to strengthen its position as a global education and knowledge hub, with the Telangana government pushing ahead with partnerships with leading international universities. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to accelerate the implementation of outcomes from the Telangana Rising delegation’s successful visit to the UK and USA.
The delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy along with the IT and Industries Minister, held engagements with several leading global academic institutions. Northeastern University of Boston and the University of London are set to establish their first offshore campuses in India in Hyderabad.
The London School of Economics and SOAS will explore opportunities for offshore schools, industry collaborations, innovative pedagogy and faculty engagement. Harvard University is also set to launch short-term executive education programmes for senior government and corporate officials at the Dr MCR HRD Institute.
The delegation held successful engagements with Oxford, MIT, Cambridge, Imperial College London and London Business School. Agreements were concluded with Northeastern University and Virginia Tech University in the United States, while several additional academic partnerships are in the pipeline.
The global academic partnerships are expected to bring world-class education, skills, research and innovation closer to students, youth and professionals in Telangana and across India. They are also aimed at strengthening Hyderabad’s emergence as a global destination for knowledge and talent.
Revanth Reddy reiterated the vision of building a $3 trillion Telangana economy by 2047, with an interim target of $1 trillion by 2034. Education, skills, innovation, technology and industry are expected to play a central role in achieving these targets.
The Chief Minister has directed officials to establish a dedicated task force for the Global Knowledge Hub initiative and ensure that high-quality educational opportunities reach the youth and children of Telangana and the country. The initiative marks a shift in Hyderabad’s positioning from a global technology hub towards a broader global knowledge hub.
