Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand attended the two-day National Security Strategies Conference-2026 held in New Delhi under the leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The ninth National Security Strategies Conference brought together Directors General of Police from states and Union Territories, senior security officials, young police officers and domain experts to deliberate on major national-security challenges and emerging threats.
The conference featured in-depth discussions, analysis and case studies on India’s evolving security environment. Participants also examined future strategies and actions required by security forces to maintain internal order and respond effectively to emerging threats.
Key areas discussed included counter-terrorism, intelligence analysis through the Multi-Agency Centre, narcotics control, detection and deportation of illegal migrants, cybercrime and proxy warfare. The conference also focused on anticipating security challenges likely to emerge over the next 15–20 years.
The discussions highlighted the importance of stronger coordination between state police forces, central security agencies and other stakeholders. The use of technology and advanced intelligence analysis was also emphasised as part of India’s future security preparedness.
