హైదరాబాద్: తెలంగాణలో గవర్నర్ కోటాలో ఖాళీగా ఉన్న మూడు ఎమ్మెల్సీ స్థానాల భర్తీ అంశం కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలో ఆసక్తికరంగా మారింది. నోటిఫికేషన్ వెలువడకముందే పలువురు ఆశావహులు పార్టీ ముఖ్య నేతలను కలుస్తున్నట్లు ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది.
ముఖ్యంగా సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి, పీసీసీ అధ్యక్షుడు, ఇతర పార్టీ పెద్దలతో ఆశావహులు సమావేశమవుతున్నట్లు కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాల్లో చర్చ జరుగుతోంది. ఢిల్లీ స్థాయిలోనూ కొందరు నేతలు తమకు అవకాశం దక్కేలా ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం.
గవర్నర్ కోటాలోని మూడు ఎమ్మెల్సీ స్థానాలకు సంబంధించి త్వరలో నోటిఫికేషన్ వెలువడే అవకాశం ఉందనే ప్రచారం నేపథ్యంలో ఈ పోటీ మరింత ఆసక్తికరంగా మారింది. అయితే అధికారిక నోటిఫికేషన్, అభ్యర్థుల తుది జాబితా ఇంకా వెలువడలేదు.
ఈసారి ఎమ్మెల్సీ ఎంపికలో సామాజిక సమీకరణాలకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వవచ్చని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాల్లో చర్చ జరుగుతోంది. ఇటీవల గ్రాడ్యుయేట్ ఎమ్మెల్సీ స్థానాల్లో రెడ్డి సామాజికవర్గానికి ప్రాతినిధ్యం దక్కిన నేపథ్యంలో గవర్నర్ కోటాలో బీసీ వర్గాలకు ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వాలనే ఆలోచన ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం.
రెండు స్థానాలు బీసీలకు?
మూడు స్థానాల్లో రెండు బీసీ సామాజికవర్గాలకు కేటాయించే అంశంపై పార్టీలో చర్చ జరుగుతున్నట్లు టీవీ9 తెలుగు నివేదిక పేర్కొంది. పార్టీకి రాజకీయంగా ఉపయోగపడే నేతలతో పాటు సామాజిక సమీకరణాలను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉందని కాంగ్రెస్ వర్గాల సమాచారం.
పద్మశాలి సామాజికవర్గం నుంచి మాజీ ఎమ్మెల్యే ఈరవత్రి అనిల్, పున్న కైలాష్ పేర్లు వినిపిస్తున్నట్లు నివేదిక పేర్కొంది. సిరిసిల్ల సభలో పద్మశాలి సామాజికవర్గానికి పెద్దల సభలో అవకాశం కల్పిస్తామని సీఎం రేవంత్‌రెడ్డి హామీ ఇచ్చిన నేపథ్యంలో ఈ పేర్లపై చర్చ జరుగుతున్నట్లు సమాచారం.
ముదిరాజు వర్గం నుంచి నీలం మధు పేరు
మరో స్థానాన్ని ముదిరాజు సామాజికవర్గానికి కేటాయించే అంశం కూడా పరిశీలనలో ఉన్నట్లు సమాచారం. ఈ క్రమంలో మెదక్ లోక్‌సభ ఎన్నికల్లో కాంగ్రెస్ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసిన నీలం మధు పేరు ప్రధానంగా వినిపిస్తోంది.
నీలం మధు ఇప్పటికే పీసీసీ అధ్యక్షుడు, ఏఐసీసీ స్థాయి నేతలను కలసి ఎమ్మెల్సీ అవకాశం కోసం ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నట్లు టీవీ9 తెలుగు నివేదిక పేర్కొంది. అయితే ఆయన పేరు ఇంకా అధికారికంగా ఖరారు కాలేదు.
బీసీ కోటాలో మరికొందరి పేర్లు
బీసీ సామాజికవర్గం నుంచి ఎమ్మెల్సీ పదవి కోసం చనగాని దయాకర్, సత్తు మల్లేశ్, కౌశిక్ యాదవ్ పేర్లు కూడా పార్టీ వర్గాల్లో చర్చకు వస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం.
ఇక మూడో స్థానాన్ని రెడ్డి సామాజికవర్గానికి కేటాయించే పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడితే ఆర్టీఐ కమిషనర్ అయోధ్యారెడ్డి పేరు పరిశీలనలోకి రావచ్చనే చర్చ కూడా ఉన్నట్లు నివేదిక పేర్కొంది.
మొత్తంగా మూడు గవర్నర్ కోటా ఎమ్మెల్సీ స్థానాల భర్తీ కాంగ్రెస్‌లో సామాజిక, రాజకీయ సమీకరణాలకు పరీక్షగా మారుతోంది. పార్టీ విధేయత, సామాజిక ప్రాతినిధ్యం, రాజకీయ సమీకరణాలను పరిగణనలోకి తీసుకుని తుది నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది.
అయితే ప్రస్తుతం చర్చలో ఉన్న పేర్లేవీ అధికారికంగా ఖరారు కాలేదు. నోటిఫికేషన్ వెలువడి, కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకత్వం నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్న తర్వాతే అభ్యర్థులపై స్పష్టత వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉంది.

Hyderabad: The Congress party in Telangana is witnessing growing interest over the filling of three Legislative Council seats under the Governor’s quota. Several aspirants are reportedly stepping up their efforts to secure the posts even before the notification is issued.
According to a TV9 Telugu report published on October 4, several aspirants are seeking meetings with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the state Congress leadership and other senior party leaders. Some leaders are also believed to be lobbying at the Delhi level.
The three Governor quota MLC positions are expected to see fresh activity once the notification is issued. However, no final list of nominees has been officially announced so far.
Social equations are expected to play an important role in the selection process. According to the report, there is discussion within Congress about giving greater representation to Backward Classes in the Governor quota seats.
Two seats may go to BC leaders
The possibility of allocating two of the three seats to BC communities is reportedly being discussed within Congress. The party leadership is also expected to consider political usefulness, party loyalty and social representation while making the final selection.
Former MLA Eeravathri Anil and Punna Kailash are among the names reportedly being discussed from the Padmashali community. Their names have gained attention following Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s reported assurance regarding representation for the Padmashali community in the Legislative Council.
Neelam Madhu’s name in the race
The possibility of giving another seat to a leader from the Mudiraj community is also being discussed. Neelam Madhu, who contested the Medak Lok Sabha election on a Congress ticket, is reportedly among the names being considered.
The TV9 Telugu report says Neelam Madhu has been meeting the state Congress president and senior AICC leaders as part of his efforts for an MLC opportunity. His candidature, however, has not been officially confirmed.
Several BC leaders under discussion
The names of Chanagani Dayakar, Sattu Malleshu and Kaushik Yadav are also reportedly being discussed for an MLC position under the BC representation formula.
If the third seat is considered for a leader from the Reddy community, the name of RTI Commissioner Ayodhya Reddy could also emerge in the discussions, according to the report.
The filling of the three Governor quota MLC seats is therefore emerging as an important political exercise for the Telangana Congress. Social representation, party loyalty and political considerations are expected to influence the final decision.
However, none of the names currently being discussed should be treated as officially confirmed nominees. Greater clarity is expected after the notification is issued and the Congress leadership takes a final decision.
