Cyberabad Police Recover 1,218 Lost Phones Worth ₹2.43 Crore

హైదరాబాద్, సెప్టెంబర్ 16: సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనరేట్ పరిధిలో పోయిన, దొంగిలించబడిన మొబైల్ ఫోన్ల రికవరీలో పోలీసులు మరో కీలక ముందడుగు వేశారు. సైబరాబాద్ పోలీస్ కమిషనర్ డాక్టర్ ఎం. రమేష్ ఆదేశాల మేరకు 11వ విడతలో మొత్తం 1,218 మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను పోలీసులు రికవరీ చేశారు. వీటి విలువ సుమారు రూ.2.43 కోట్లు అని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. ఈ వివరాలను తాజా Telangana Today నివేదిక కూడా ధృవీకరించింది.
రికవరీ చేసిన ఫోన్లలో సీసీఎస్ కూకట్పల్లి 410, సీసీఎస్ శేరిలింగంపల్లి 407, సీసీఎస్ కుత్బుల్లాపూర్ 401 ఫోన్లను గుర్తించి స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నాయి. అనంతరం సంబంధిత యజమానులను గుర్తించి వారి మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను తిరిగి అందజేశారు.
సైబరాబాద్ సీపీ డాక్టర్ ఎం. రమేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ, అత్యాధునిక సాంకేతిక పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని ఉపయోగించి ప్రజలు పోగొట్టుకున్న లేదా దొంగిలించబడిన మొబైల్ ఫోన్లను గుర్తించి తిరిగి యజమానులకు అందజేస్తున్నామని తెలిపారు. సెంట్రల్ ఎక్విప్మెంట్ ఐడెంటిటీ రిజిస్టర్ (CEIR) పోర్టల్ ద్వారా పోయిన ఫోన్లను ట్రాక్ చేయడంలో పోలీసులు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నారని, ఫోన్ పోగొట్టుకున్న వెంటనే CEIRలో నమోదు చేసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
మొబైల్ ఫోన్ ప్రస్తుతం వ్యక్తిగత అవసరాలతో పాటు ఉపాధి, బ్యాంకింగ్ తదితర కార్యకలాపాలకు కూడా కీలకంగా మారిందని, పోయిన ఫోన్లను తిరిగి యజమానులకు అందజేయడం ద్వారా బాధితులకు ఉపశమనం కల్పిస్తున్నామని సీపీ పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా సీపీ ప్రజలను సైబర్ నేరాల విషయంలో అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని సూచించారు. ముఖ్యంగా జాబ్ ఫ్రాడ్లు, బెట్టింగ్ యాప్లు వంటి మోసాల పట్ల జాగ్రత్తగా ఉండాలని, గుర్తుతెలియని వ్యక్తులకు వ్యక్తిగత మొబైల్ నంబర్, ఇతర వివరాలను ఇవ్వవద్దని సూచించారు.
మార్కెట్లు, బస్స్టాప్లు, ఉత్సవాలు జరిగే ప్రాంతాలు వంటి రద్దీ ప్రదేశాల్లో మొబైల్ ఫోన్లు, ఇతర విలువైన వస్తువుల విషయంలో అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండాలని పోలీసులు సూచించారు. దూర ప్రాంతాలకు లేదా విహారయాత్రలకు వెళ్లేటప్పుడు ఇంటి ఖాళీ వివరాలను సోషల్ మీడియాలో బహిరంగంగా షేర్ చేయవద్దని కూడా ప్రజలకు సూచించారు.
రికవరీ చేసిన ఫోన్లను అందుకున్న పలువురు బాధితులు పోలీసుల చర్యలపై సంతోషం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. కూకట్పల్లిలో తన ఐఫోన్ను పోగొట్టుకున్న సృజన, కోకాపేట్లో Motorola ఫోన్ పోగొట్టుకున్న TCS ఉద్యోగి నారాయణ చౌదరి, కూకట్పల్లిలో ఫోన్ పోగొట్టుకున్న మెదక్కు చెందిన మహమ్మద్ ముఖిబ్ తదితరులు తమ అనుభవాలను పంచుకున్నారు.
పోయిన ఫోన్ తిరిగి దొరుకుతుందని ఆశించని సమయంలో పోలీసులు ఫోన్ దొరికిందని సమాచారం ఇవ్వడంతో ఎంతో ఆనందంగా అనిపించిందని పలువురు బాధితులు తెలిపారు. సైబరాబాద్ పోలీసుల కృషికి వారు కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు.

Hyderabad, September 16: Cyberabad Police have recovered 1,218 lost and stolen mobile phones worth approximately ₹2.43 crore during the 11th phase of their CEIR-based recovery drive, officials said. The recovery was carried out under the directions of Cyberabad Police Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh. The figures have also been independently reported by Telangana Today.
Of the recovered devices, 410 were traced by CCS Kukatpally, 407 by CCS Serilingampally and 401 by CCS Quthbullapur. The phones were subsequently handed over to their respective owners after verification.
Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Dr. M. Ramesh said police were using advanced technology to trace mobile phones reported lost or stolen. He urged citizens to immediately register complaints through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal after losing a mobile phone.
The Commissioner also advised citizens to remain alert against cyber frauds, particularly job fraud and betting-app-related scams, and cautioned people against sharing their mobile numbers and personal information with unknown persons.
Police also urged people to remain vigilant about their belongings in crowded locations such as markets, bus stops and festival venues. Citizens travelling away from home were advised not to publicly share information on social media indicating that their houses would remain vacant.
Several beneficiaries shared their experiences after receiving their recovered phones. Srujana, who had misplaced her iPhone in the KPHB area, said she had feared that the phone might never be recovered. She thanked Cyberabad Police after the device was traced and returned to her.
Narayan Choudhary, a TCS employee who lost his Motorola phone at a restaurant in Kokapet, said he had assumed that the device could not be recovered after a long period. He said he was surprised and happy when police informed him that the phone had been traced.
Mohammed Mukeeb from Medak, who works in the Kukatpally area, also expressed relief after police recovered his phone. He said the device contained important banking and personal information and that he had been worried about possible misuse.
Another beneficiary from Bihar, who works as a security guard at Sattva Knowledge City, said he had reported the theft of his phone to Raidurgam Police and was later informed by CCS officials that it had been recovered.
Commissioner Dr. M. Ramesh congratulated the CCS teams and police personnel who contributed to the recovery drive.
