తెలంగాణలో ప్రజల భద్రత, నేరాల నియంత్రణపై పోలీసులు ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారిస్తున్నారు. ఇందులో భాగంగా మల్కాజిగిరి పోలీసులు బేగంపేట పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలోని శ్రీలంక బస్తీలో కమ్యూనిటీ కనెక్ట్ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.
రాత్రి 10 గంటల నుంచి తెల్లవారుజామున 1 గంట వరకు జరిగిన ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో మొత్తం 335 మంది పోలీసు సిబ్బంది పాల్గొన్నారు. బస్తీలోని 376 ఇళ్లను, 287 వాహనాలను పోలీసులు తనిఖీ చేశారు.
తనిఖీల్లో భాగంగా 29 వాహనాలను పోలీసులు అదుపులోకి తీసుకున్నారు. అలాగే 155 మంది అనుమానితులను పరిశీలించి, తదుపరి ధ్రువీకరణ కోసం ఐదుగురిని గుర్తించారు.
ఈ తనిఖీల సందర్భంగా మూడు అక్రమ ఎల్పీజీ సిలిండర్లను స్వాధీనం చేసుకున్నట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. ప్రజల భద్రతకు సంబంధించిన సమాచారాన్ని మరింత సమర్థంగా నమోదు చేసేందుకు ‘మీ-సురక్ష’ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా 24 మందిని నమోదు చేశారు.
బేగంపేట పరిధిలో నేరాల నియంత్రణ, అనుమానాస్పద కార్యకలాపాలపై నిఘా, ప్రజలతో పోలీసుల సమన్వయం పెంచడం లక్ష్యంగా ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించినట్లు పోలీసులు పేర్కొన్నారు. కమ్యూనిటీ కనెక్ట్ కార్యక్రమాల ద్వారా స్థానిక సమస్యలను గుర్తించి ప్రజలకు భద్రతపై భరోసా కల్పించేందుకు పోలీసులు చర్యలు కొనసాగిస్తున్నారు.

Telangana Police are continuing focused efforts to strengthen public safety and prevent criminal activities. As part of this initiative, Malkajgiri Police conducted a Community Connect programme in Sri Lanka Basti under the Begumpet Police Station limits.
The programme was conducted from 10 pm to 1 am, with 335 police personnel taking part in the operation. During the night-long checks, police inspected 376 houses and 287 vehicles in the locality.
As part of the vehicle verification drive, 29 vehicles were detained. Police also checked 155 suspected persons and identified five individuals for further verification.
During the operation, police seized three illegally held LPG cylinders. As part of the Me-Suraksha initiative, 24 people were also registered, according to the police.
The Community Connect programme was aimed at strengthening police-public coordination, identifying suspicious activities and improving security in the locality. Police said continued surveillance and community-level engagement would help in preventing crime and ensuring greater safety for residents.
