హైదరాబాద్: ఉప్పల్లోని ఆర్జీఐ స్టేడియం సమీపంలో 18 ఏళ్ల వైద్య విద్యార్థి మృతి చెందాడు. ఉస్మానియా మెడికల్ కాలేజీలో చదువుతున్న కె. భార్గవ్ రెడ్డి ఆదివారం తెల్లవారుజామున నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న భవనం వద్ద మృతిచెందినట్లు పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. పరీక్షల ఒత్తిడి కారణంగా అతడు తీవ్ర మానసిక ఒత్తిడిలో ఉన్నట్లు కుటుంబ సభ్యులు వెల్లడించారు.
మెదక్ జిల్లాకు చెందిన భార్గవ్ రెడ్డి రామంతాపూర్లో బంధువుల ఇంట్లో ఉంటూ చదువుకుంటున్నాడు. అంతర్గత పరీక్షలకు సిద్ధమవుతూ శనివారం రాత్రి తన బంధువుతో కలిసి చదువుకున్నాడు. ఆ తర్వాత ఎవరికీ తెలియకుండా ఇంటి నుంచి వెళ్లిపోయినట్లు కుటుంబ సభ్యులు తెలిపారు.
ఆదివారం ఉదయం 7.30 గంటలకు కుటుంబ సభ్యులు అతడి ఆచూకీ కోసం పోలీసులకు ఫిర్యాదు చేశారు. అనంతరం పోలీసులు అతడి మృతదేహాన్ని గుర్తించారు. ఘటనపై దర్యాప్తు కొనసాగుతోంది.
ఘటనాస్థలంలో ఎలాంటి సూసైడ్ నోట్ లభించలేదని పోలీసులు తెలిపారు. పరీక్షలకు సంబంధించిన ఒత్తిడి కారణంగా అతడు మానసికంగా ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నట్లు ప్రాథమికంగా తెలిసిందని పేర్కొన్నారు. మృతదేహాన్ని గాంధీ ఆస్పత్రికి తరలించి పోస్టుమార్టం నిర్వహించిన అనంతరం కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు అప్పగించారు.
ఈ ఘటనపై తొలుత మిస్సింగ్ కేసుగా నమోదు చేసిన పోలీసులు, అనంతరం BNSS 194 కింద కేసును మార్చారు. ఘటనకు సంబంధించిన పూర్తి వివరాలను నిర్ధారించేందుకు పోలీసులు దర్యాప్తు చేస్తున్నారు.

Hyderabad: An 18-year-old Osmania Medical College student died by suicide in Uppal, Hyderabad, with the incident reported near RGI Stadium in the early hours of Sunday. Police said the student, K. Bhargav Reddy, was suspected to have been under stress related to internal examinations.
Bhargav Reddy, who belonged to Medak district, had been staying at his relatives’ house in Ramanthapur. According to his family, he was preparing for internal examinations and studied with his cousin late into the night before leaving the house unnoticed.
His family approached the police at around 7.30 am after noticing that he was missing. Police subsequently traced him to an under-construction building near RGI Stadium in Uppal.
Police said no suicide note was found. The family told police that he had been experiencing stress over his examinations. The exact circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated.
The body was shifted to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination and was later handed over to the family.
Police initially registered a case concerning the student’s disappearance and subsequently altered it under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). Further investigation is underway.
