హైదరాబాద్లోని జ్యోతిరావు ఫూలే ప్రజా భవన్లో తెలంగాణ నీటిపారుదల ప్రాజెక్టులపై నిర్వహించిన పవర్పాయింట్ ప్రజెంటేషన్ కార్యక్రమంలో ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ఆధ్వర్యంలో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్టు ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితిపై సమగ్ర వివరాలను ప్రజాప్రతినిధులకు వెల్లడించింది.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ఉప ముఖ్యమంత్రి భట్టి విక్రమార్క, నీటిపారుదల శాఖ మంత్రి ఉత్తమ్ కుమార్ రెడ్డి, మంత్రి పొంగులేటి శ్రీనివాస రెడ్డి, మంత్రులు, ఎంపీలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ప్రజాప్రతినిధులు, నీటిపారుదల శాఖ ఉన్నతాధికారులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి మాట్లాడుతూ వివిధ సంస్థల నివేదికల ఆధారంగా కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్టు ప్రస్తుత స్థితి, నిర్మాణ లోపాలు, సాంకేతిక అంశాలు, వ్యయభారం వంటి అంశాలపై సమగ్ర సమాచారం అందించినట్లు తెలిపారు. ప్రాజెక్టు కుంగుబాటు వల్ల రాష్ట్రానికి జరిగిన నష్టాలను కూడా ప్రజాప్రతినిధులకు వివరించినట్లు చెప్పారు.
దివంగత మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి డాక్టర్ వైఎస్ రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి హయాంలో జలయజ్ఞంలో భాగంగా ప్రారంభమైన ప్రాణహిత-చేవెళ్ల ప్రాజెక్టును అనంతరం కాళేశ్వరం లిఫ్ట్ ఇరిగేషన్ ప్రాజెక్టుగా రీడిజైన్ చేశారని, ఆ ప్రక్రియలో రూపకల్పన, వ్యయ అంచనాలు, నిర్మాణ అంశాలపై పలు మార్పులు జరిగాయని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు.
తెలంగాణ నీటి హక్కుల విషయంలో ప్రభుత్వం ఎలాంటి రాజీ పడదని స్పష్టం చేసిన ఆయన, గతంలో జరిగిన లోపాలను సరిదిద్దుతూ రాష్ట్ర ప్రయోజనాల పరిరక్షణకు ప్రభుత్వం శాస్త్రీయ, సాంకేతిక ఆధారాలతో ముందుకు సాగుతుందని చెప్పారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని నీటిపారుదల ప్రాజెక్టులను సమీక్షించి పూర్తి చేయడమే ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యమని తెలిపారు.
కాళేశ్వరం ప్రాజెక్టుపై చర్చించేందుకు ప్రత్యేక అసెంబ్లీ సమావేశాలు నిర్వహించడానికి ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి వెల్లడించారు. ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణ సమయంలో బాధ్యత వహించిన వారు కూడా తమ అభిప్రాయాలు, సాంకేతిక సూచనలు సభలో వెల్లడించాలని ఆయన సూచించారు.

The Telangana government conducted a detailed PowerPoint presentation on major irrigation projects at Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, ministers, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, public representatives, and senior irrigation department officials.
During the presentation, the Chief Minister said the government compiled findings from multiple expert reports to provide a clear understanding of the current status of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. He stated that the presentation covered technical issues, construction-related aspects, financial implications, and the impact of the project’s structural damage.
Revanth Reddy said the government remains committed to protecting Telangana’s water rights and is reviewing irrigation projects using scientific and technical standards. He added that completing irrigation projects in a transparent and technically sound manner is a key objective of the government.
The Chief Minister also announced that the government is prepared to convene a special session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly to discuss the Kaleshwaram project. He said those associated with the project’s execution should present their technical views and explanations during the discussion.
