In a strong assertion of judicial authority, the Telangana High Court has sentenced a Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) from Rajendranagar in Ranga Reddy district to one month of simple imprisonment for contempt of court. The court also imposed a fine of ₹2,000.
The action came after the officer failed to comply with specific court directions related to a long-pending land dispute. Despite clear instructions from the court, the official did not implement the आदेश, leading to contempt proceedings.
