కావల్ టైగర్ రిజర్వ్ను ఇతర అటవీ ప్రాంతాలతో అనుసంధానించే వన్యప్రాణుల మార్గాలను (కారిడార్లు) బలోపేతం చేయడం, అడవుల పరిరక్షణ, అక్రమ ఆక్రమణల నియంత్రణ వంటి చర్యలు అవసరమని నిపుణులు సూచిస్తున్నారు.

The latest tiger estimation has found no resident tiger in the Kawal Tiger Reserve in Telangana for the 13th consecutive year, raising fresh concerns over wildlife conservation and habitat protection in the reserve.
Officials attributed the continued absence of resident tigers to increasing forest encroachments, the expansion of podu (shifting) cultivation, and habitat degradation. These factors have reduced the availability of secure territory and prey, making it difficult for tigers to establish a permanent presence in the reserve.
Forest authorities said that while transient tigers occasionally move through the landscape, the reserve has not supported a stable resident tiger population. Conservation experts believe that protecting wildlife corridors, restoring degraded forests, and preventing further encroachments are essential to improving habitat conditions.
