శామీర్పేటలో జరిగిన సమావేశంలో జీవో 252లో సవరణలు చేస్తామని మీడియా అకాడమీ చైర్మన్ వెల్లడించారు. అర్హులైన జర్నలిస్టులకే అక్రెడిటేషన్ కార్డులు ఇస్తామని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
At a meeting in Shamirpet, the Telangana Media Academy Chairman said GO 252 will be amended and assured accreditation only for eligible journalists.
తెలంగాణలో జర్నలిస్టులకు అక్రెడిటేషన్ కార్డుల జారీపై స్పష్టత ఇచ్చారు మీడియా అకాడమీ చైర్మన్ శ్రీనివాస్ రెడ్డి. మేడ్చల్ జిల్లా శామీర్పేట మండలంలోని అంతాయిపల్లి ఎస్ఎన్ఆర్ పుష్ప కన్వెన్షన్ హాల్లో నిర్వహించిన టీయూడబ్ల్యూజే (ఐజేయూ) రాష్ట్ర విస్తృత స్థాయి కార్యవర్గ సమావేశంలో ఆయన ముఖ్య అతిథిగా పాల్గొన్నారు.
జీవో 252లో అవసరమైన మేరకు సవరణలు చేసి, అర్హులైన జర్నలిస్టులందరికీ అక్రెడిటేషన్ కార్డులు జారీ చేస్తామని ఆయన తెలిపారు. జర్నలిజంతో సంబంధం లేని వారికి కార్డులు జారీ కాకుండా జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలని యూనియన్ నాయకులకు సూచించారు.
సర్క్యులేషన్ ఆధారంగా రాష్ట్ర, జిల్లా స్థాయిలో కార్డులు జారీ చేయనున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. కేబుల్ ఛానల్ జర్నలిస్టుల కోసం ప్రత్యేక సబ్ కమిటీ ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు పేర్కొన్నారు. డెస్క్ సబ్ ఎడిటర్లకు కూడా అక్రెడిటేషన్ అందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని చెప్పారు.
జర్నలిస్టులపై నమోదవుతున్న కేసులపై నిజానిర్ధారణ కోసం త్రిసభ్య కమిటీ ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయం తీసుకున్నారు. అలాగే జర్నలిస్టులకు ప్రభుత్వ ఉద్యోగుల మాదిరిగా వైద్య సదుపాయాలు కల్పించాలని తీర్మానించారు.
సమావేశంలో రాష్ట్ర అధ్యక్షుడు విరాహత్ అలీ, స్టీరింగ్ కమిటీ సభ్యులు దేవులపల్లి అమర్ తదితరులు మాట్లాడుతూ సంఘ బలోపేతంపై దృష్టి పెట్టాలని సూచించారు. వివిధ జిల్లాల నుంచి యూనియన్ ప్రతినిధులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా కేంద్ర సాహిత్య అకాడమీ అవార్డు గ్రహీత నందిని సిద్ధారెడ్డిని ఘనంగా సన్మానించారు. జర్నలిజం సమాజానికి ముఖ్యమైన సేవగా కొనసాగాలని, జర్నలిస్టుల సంక్షేమానికి ప్రభుత్వాలు కృషి చేయాలని అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు.
Telangana Media Academy Chairman Srinivas Reddy clarified the government’s stance on issuing accreditation cards to journalists. He was speaking at the TUWJ (IJU) state executive meeting held at SNR Pushpa Convention Hall in Anthaipally, Shamirpet, Medchal district.
He stated that necessary amendments would be made to GO 252 and accreditation cards would be issued to all eligible journalists. He emphasized that those not connected to journalism should not receive accreditation.
Cards will be issued at both state and district levels based on circulation criteria. A sub-committee has been formed to examine accreditation for cable channel journalists. Desk sub-editors will also be considered for accreditation.
The meeting also resolved to form a three-member committee to verify cases filed against journalists. It was suggested that journalists should be provided medical facilities similar to government employees.
Union leaders including President Virahat Ali and steering committee member Devulapalli Amar highlighted the need to strengthen the organization. Representatives from 29 districts attended the meeting.
During the event, Sahitya Akademi award recipient Nandini Sidda Reddy was felicitated. He emphasized the role of journalism in highlighting public issues and called for stronger welfare measures for journalists.
