కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో రైతులు ధాన్యం కొనుగోలు కేంద్రాల వద్ద రోజుల తరబడి ఎదురుచూడాల్సి వస్తోందని, రవాణా సౌకర్యాల లోపం కారణంగా ఇబ్బందులు పెరుగుతున్నాయని కేటీఆర్ పేర్కొన్నారు. రైతుల సమస్యలను ప్రభుత్వం పట్టించుకోవడం లేదని ఆరోపించారు.
పంట కోతల సీజన్ కొనసాగుతున్న సమయంలో వరి కొనుగోళ్లు తెలంగాణ రాజకీయాల్లో ప్రధాన చర్చగా మారాయి. గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో రైతు సమస్యలు రాజకీయ పార్టీల మధ్య విమర్శలకు దారితీస్తున్నాయి.
రైతులకు పారదర్శక సమాచారం అందించాలంటే కొనుగోలు గణాంకాలు, నిల్వలు, చెల్లింపుల వివరాలతో ప్రభుత్వం వైట్ పేపర్ విడుదల చేయాలని బీఆర్ఎస్ నేతలు డిమాండ్ చేస్తున్నారు.

BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao on Friday demanded that the Telangana government release a white paper on paddy procurement operations being carried out across the state.
The demand comes amid continuing political criticism over alleged procurement delays affecting farmers in several Telangana districts during the ongoing harvest season.
KTR questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s statement claiming that nearly 80 percent of paddy procurement had already been completed. According to the BRS leader, field-level reports from various districts suggested that the actual procurement figures were significantly lower.
He alleged that farmers were facing hardships at procurement centres due to delays in lifting stocks and inadequate transportation arrangements. The BRS leader said several farmers were being forced to wait for days to sell their produce.
Paddy procurement has become a politically sensitive issue in Telangana as agriculture continues to remain a key concern in rural districts dependent on farming activities.
The opposition party demanded transparency in procurement operations and urged the government to release detailed data on procurement quantities, payments and storage arrangements through an official white paper.
