హైదరాబాద్: తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రతిష్ఠాత్మకంగా చేపట్టిన మూసీ నది పునరుజ్జీవన ప్రాజెక్టుకు కీలక ముందడుగు పడింది. రాష్ట్ర కేబినెట్ తొలి దశ పనులకు రూ.7,345.12 కోట్ల పరిపాలనా ఆమోదం తెలిపింది.
మొదటి దశలో హిమాయత్సాగర్, ఉస్మాన్సాగర్ ప్రవాహాలు కలిసే ప్రాంతాల నుంచి బాపూఘాట్ వరకు సుమారు 21 కిలోమీటర్ల పరిధిలో అభివృద్ధి పనులు చేపట్టనున్నారు. నదీ తీరాల అభివృద్ధి, వరద నియంత్రణ చర్యలు, నిరంతర నీటి ప్రవాహం, ఆధునిక మౌలిక సదుపాయాల ఏర్పాటుకు ఈ దశలో ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వనున్నారు.
కేబినెట్ నిర్ణయం అనంతరం ప్రభుత్వం త్వరలో సాంకేతిక అనుమతులు జారీ చేసి టెండర్ల ప్రక్రియను ప్రారంభించనుంది. నిర్ణీత గడువులో కాంట్రాక్టులు ఖరారు చేసి పనులను వేగంగా ప్రారంభించే లక్ష్యంతో అధికారులు చర్యలు చేపడుతున్నారు.
ప్రాజెక్టు అమలు, పర్యవేక్షణ కోసం 147 కొత్త పోస్టుల సృష్టికి కూడా కేబినెట్ ఆమోదం తెలిపింది. అవసరమైతే ఇతర ప్రభుత్వ శాఖల నుంచి సిబ్బందిని డిప్యుటేషన్పై నియమించనున్నట్లు ప్రభుత్వం వెల్లడించింది.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి ప్రాజెక్టు ప్రభావిత కుటుంబాల పునరావాసంపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి పెట్టాలని అధికారులకు ఆదేశించారు. మూసీ నది పరివాహక ప్రాంతంలో నివసిస్తున్న అర్హులైన కుటుంబాలకు డబుల్ బెడ్రూమ్ ఇళ్లు కల్పించాలని సూచించారు. భూసేకరణలో ప్రభావిత భూయజమానులకు బదిలీ చేయగల అభివృద్ధి హక్కులు (TDR) లేదా తగిన పరిహారం అందించాలని కూడా ఆదేశించారు.
ఈ ప్రాజెక్టు ద్వారా మూసీ నదిని పర్యావరణపరంగా పునరుద్ధరించడంతో పాటు హైదరాబాద్ నగరానికి ఆధునిక రివర్ఫ్రంట్ అభివృద్ధి, వరద ముప్పు తగ్గింపు మరియు ప్రజలకు మెరుగైన ప్రజా వసతులు కల్పించడమే ప్రభుత్వ లక్ష్యంగా పేర్కొంది.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet has granted administrative approval for Phase-I of the ambitious Musi River rejuvenation project with an estimated cost of ₹7,345.12 crore, marking a major step toward the redevelopment of the riverfront in Hyderabad.
The first phase will cover a 21-kilometre stretch from the streams originating at Himayatsagar and Osmansagar up to Bapu Ghat. The project aims to improve river flow, strengthen flood mitigation measures, develop modern riverfront infrastructure and enhance the urban environment.
Following the Cabinet approval, the state government is expected to issue technical sanctions and invite tenders shortly. Officials plan to complete the tender process and award contracts within the announced schedule so that construction can begin without delay.
The Cabinet also approved the creation of 147 new posts for implementing and maintaining the Musi River project. Additional personnel may be deputed from other government departments whenever required.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure proper rehabilitation for families affected by the project. Eligible residents living along the riverbed are to be provided double-bedroom houses, while landowners affected by land acquisition will receive either Transferable Development Rights (TDR) or appropriate compensation.
According to the government, the project is intended to transform the Musi into a sustainable urban river through environmental restoration, improved public infrastructure, flood management and long-term riverfront development in Hyderabad.
