తెలంగాణ శాసనసభ వర్షాకాల సమావేశాల్లో చోటుచేసుకున్న వివాదాస్పద ఘటనలపై సమగ్ర విచారణ జరిపించి, బాధ్యులపై చట్టపరమైన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్రెడ్డి స్పష్టం చేశారు. స్పీకర్ గడ్డం ప్రసాద్కుమార్ను అవమానించేలా చేసిన వ్యాఖ్యలు, అసెంబ్లీ ప్రాంగణంలో చోటుచేసుకున్న పరిణామాలు, పోలీసులపై జరిగిన దాడులపై విచారణ జరిపిస్తామని ఆయన తెలిపారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, ప్రజాస్వామ్య వ్యవస్థలో నిరసనలకు అనేక మార్గాలు ఉన్నప్పటికీ శాసనసభాపతి పదవిని అవమానించేలా వ్యవహరించడం తీవ్రంగా పరిగణించాల్సిన అంశమన్నారు. స్పీకర్ను అవమానించిన ఘటనపై ప్రభుత్వం అండగా నిలుస్తుందని, విచారణ అనంతరం దోషులపై చట్ట ప్రకారం చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని చెప్పారు.
స్పీకర్ గడ్డం ప్రసాద్కుమార్ను ఉద్దేశించి బీఆర్ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్సీలు తాతా మధు, నవీన్కుమార్రెడ్డి చేసినట్లు ఆరోపణలు వచ్చిన అనుచిత వ్యాఖ్యలపై శాసనసభలో తీవ్ర చర్చ జరిగింది. ఇద్దరు ఎమ్మెల్సీలపై చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని అసెంబ్లీ తీర్మానం చేసి శాసనమండలికి పంపగా, మండలి వారిని సమావేశాలు ముగిసే వరకు సస్పెండ్ చేసింది.
ఇదే సమయంలో అసెంబ్లీ ప్రాంగణంలో మహిళా ఎమ్మెల్యేలతో పోలీసులు వ్యవహరించిన తీరుపైనా బీఆర్ఎస్ సభ్యులు ప్రశ్నలు లేవనెత్తారు. ఈ ఘటనపై నివేదిక కోరామని, వాస్తవాలు వెలుగులోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత నిబంధనల ప్రకారం చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని ప్రభుత్వం, స్పీకర్ తెలిపారు.
సెప్టెంబర్ 7 నుంచి ప్రారంభమైన సమావేశాల్లో విద్య, ధరణి, 22(ఎ) సహా ప్రజా సమస్యలపై చర్చించాలని ప్రభుత్వం భావించినప్పటికీ, వరుసగా చోటుచేసుకున్న వివాదాలతో సభా కార్యక్రమాలకు అంతరాయం ఏర్పడింది. మూడో రోజుకూ రాజకీయ ఉద్రిక్తత కొనసాగడంతో 21 మంది బీఆర్ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యేలను మిగిలిన వర్షాకాల సమావేశాల నుంచి సస్పెండ్ చేసినట్లు తాజా నివేదికలు పేర్కొన్నాయి.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the government would order a comprehensive inquiry into the controversial incidents during the Telangana Assembly’s Monsoon Session and take legal action against those found responsible. He said the remarks allegedly made against Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, incidents on the Assembly premises and the reported attacks involving police would be investigated.
Revanth Reddy said there are several democratic ways to register a protest, but conduct that allegedly disrespects the office of the Speaker must be viewed seriously. He assured the Speaker that the government would stand by him and take action according to law after the inquiry.
The alleged derogatory remarks against Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar by BRS MLCs Tata Madhusudan, popularly known as Tata Madhu, and N. Naveen Kumar Reddy triggered a heated debate in the Assembly. The Assembly passed a resolution seeking action against the two MLCs, following which the Legislative Council suspended them for the remainder of the session.
The BRS also raised allegations concerning the treatment of its women legislators by police during protests outside the Assembly. The government and the Speaker said reports had been sought and that appropriate action would follow after the facts were established.
The government had planned discussions on public issues, including education, alleged irregularities relating to Dharani and Section 22(A). However, repeated disruptions and political confrontations dominated the proceedings.
