Two youths were killed in a tragic road accident near Kondapur in Sangareddy district after their motorcycle reportedly crashed into a roadside tree during the early hours of Sunday.
According to police officials, the bike was travelling at high speed when the rider lost control of the vehicle. The motorcycle then rammed into a tree located beside the road. Due to the impact of the collision, both victims died on the spot.
Local residents alerted the police after noticing the accident. Police personnel reached the scene and shifted the bodies to a nearby government hospital for postmortem examination.
Officials said preliminary investigation indicates over-speeding as the primary reason behind the accident. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
