England star Jos Buttler has undergone surgery for an injury to his left hamstring. He shared a photograph from his hospital bed with fans, confirming that the operation was successful. The wicketkeeper-batter expressed confidence about recovering and returning to the cricket field.
Buttler sustained the injury during England’s ODI series against Sri Lanka. He suffered a left hamstring injury while batting in the second ODI at Headingley on September 24. Although he briefly left the field because of the pain, he returned to continue his innings.
