ప్రధాన మంత్రి Narendra Modi నాయకత్వంలో జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం–2020 లక్ష్యాల సాధన దిశగా నేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఓపెన్ స్కూలింగ్ (ఎన్ఐఓఎస్) కీలక ముందడుగు వేసింది. “రీచ్ ది అన్రీచ్డ్” లక్ష్యంతో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా విద్యకు దూరమైన పిల్లలను తిరిగి విద్యా వ్యవస్థలోకి తీసుకురావడానికి ప్రత్యేక కార్యక్రమాలు చేపడుతోంది.
ఎన్ఐఓఎస్ ప్రకారం దేశంలో సుమారు 2 కోట్ల మంది పిల్లలు వివిధ కారణాలతో పాఠశాల విద్యకు దూరంగా ఉన్నారు. వీరిని మళ్లీ విద్యతో అనుసంధానం చేయడం ద్వారా నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి, ఉపాధి అవకాశాలు మరియు స్వావలంబన దిశగా ముందుకు తీసుకెళ్లడమే ప్రధాన లక్ష్యంగా పేర్కొంది.
జాతీయ విద్యా విధానం–2020 అమలు, వికసిత భారత్–2047 లక్ష్యాల సాధనలో భాగంగా ఓపెన్ స్కూలింగ్ విధానాన్ని మరింత విస్తరించనున్నట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు. ముఖ్యంగా గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాలు, పేద కుటుంబాలు, మధ్యలో చదువు మానేసిన విద్యార్థులపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి సారించనున్నారు.
విద్య అందరికీ చేరాలనే ఉద్దేశంతో డిజిటల్ లెర్నింగ్, ఫ్లెక్సిబుల్ ఎగ్జామినేషన్ సిస్టమ్, వృత్తి విద్య కోర్సులను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయాలని ఎన్ఐఓఎస్ నిర్ణయించింది. విద్యా హక్కును ప్రతి విద్యార్థికి చేరవేయడమే ఈ కార్యక్రమం ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశ్యంగా పేర్కొన్నారు.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has launched a major initiative to reconnect out-of-school children with education in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Viksit Bharat 2047 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
With the mission “To Reach the Unreached,” NIOS aims to bring nearly two crore out-of-school children back into the education system across India. Officials stated that the initiative focuses on ensuring educational access, skill development, and future employment opportunities for children who discontinued their studies due to social or economic reasons.
As part of the broader NEP 2020 implementation strategy, NIOS plans to strengthen open schooling systems and expand access to flexible education models. Special attention will be given to rural students, economically weaker sections, and school dropouts.
The organisation also intends to enhance digital learning facilities, flexible examination systems, and vocational education programmes to support self-reliance and inclusive education. The initiative is being viewed as a significant step toward achieving the goals of Education for All and building an empowered India by 2047.
