హైదరాబాద్లో యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ క్యాంపస్ ఏర్పాటు దిశగా కీలక చర్చలు జరుగుతున్నాయి. లండన్లోని సెనేట్ హౌస్లో తెలంగాణ ప్రతినిధి బృందం, యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ ప్రతినిధులతో రౌండ్టేబుల్ సమావేశం నిర్వహించింది.
Discussions are progressing towards establishing a University of London campus in Hyderabad, with a Telangana delegation holding a roundtable meeting with university representatives at Senate House in London.
హైదరాబాద్లో యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ క్యాంపస్ ఏర్పాటు అవకాశాలపై తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వం చర్చలు జరిపింది. ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి నేతృత్వంలోని ‘తెలంగాణ రైజింగ్’ అధికారిక ప్రతినిధి బృందం లండన్లోని యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ సెనేట్ హౌస్లో జరిగిన రౌండ్టేబుల్ సమావేశంలో పాల్గొంది.
ఈ సమావేశంలో పరిశ్రమలు, ఐటీ శాఖ మంత్రి దుద్దిళ్ల శ్రీధర్ బాబు, అధికారులు కె. రామకృష్ణారావు, జయేష్ రంజన్ పాల్గొన్నారు. యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ ప్రతినిధులతో పాటు లండన్ స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ ఎకనామిక్స్ అండ్ పొలిటికల్ సైన్స్ (LSE), స్కూల్ ఆఫ్ ఓరియంటల్ అండ్ ఆఫ్రికన్ స్టడీస్ (SOAS) తదితర విద్యాసంస్థల ప్రతినిధులు చర్చల్లో భాగమయ్యారు.
యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ తన అకడమిక్ ఫెడరేషన్ పరిధిలోని వివిధ స్కూళ్లు, విభాగాలకు సంబంధించిన విద్యా కోర్సులు, కార్యక్రమాలను అందించేలా హైదరాబాద్లో క్యాంపస్ ఏర్పాటు దిశగా పనిచేస్తున్నట్లు సమావేశంలో వెల్లడైంది.
యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ లండన్ బృందంలో కవితా రామకృష్ణన్, LSEకి చెందిన రూత్ కట్టుమురి, పాల్ మాడెన్, ప్రొఫెసర్ ఫున్మి ఒలోనిఫాకిన్, డాక్టర్ స్కై జెంగ్, కీత్ హారిసన్ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
The Telangana government held discussions on the proposed establishment of a University of London campus in Hyderabad. The official ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, participated in a roundtable meeting at Senate House, University of London.
Industries and IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and officials K. Ramakrishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan took part in the discussions. The University of London delegation included representatives from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), and other institutions.
According to the information shared, the University of London is working towards establishing a campus in Hyderabad that could offer a range of courses and academic programmes across schools and departments within its academic federation.
The University of London team included Kavita Ramakrishnan, Ruth Kattumuri of LSE, Paul Madden, Professor Funmi Olonifakin, Dr Sky Zheng and Keith Harrison.
