Uber Technologies సంస్థ చీఫ్ ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ ఆఫీసర్ Dara Khosrowshahi నేతృత్వంలోని ప్రతినిధి బృందం జూబ్లీహిల్స్లోని ముఖ్యమంత్రి నివాసంలో సమావేశమైంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా హైదరాబాద్లో ఉబర్ వ్యాపార విస్తరణ, భవిష్యత్ పెట్టుబడులపై చర్చ జరిగింది.
హైదరాబాద్లో ఇప్పటికే కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్న ఉబర్ సెంటర్ ఆఫ్ ఎక్సలెన్స్ను మరింత విస్తరించనున్నట్లు దారా ఖోస్రోషాహి తెలిపారు. అమెరికా వెలుపల ఏర్పాటు చేసిన తొలి సెంటర్ ఇదేనని, ప్రస్తుతం ఇక్కడ సుమారు 600 మంది ఇంజినీర్లుపనిచేస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు.
భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీలో ఉబర్ కార్పొరేట్ కార్యాలయ నిర్మాణంపై సంస్థ ఆసక్తి వ్యక్తం చేసినట్లు సమావేశంలో వెల్లడైంది. భవిష్యత్తులో మరిన్ని కార్యకలాపాలు విస్తరించేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రభుత్వ సహకారం కోరారు.
ప్రధాన నగరాల్లో పార్కింగ్ సమస్య తీవ్రమవుతోందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రస్తావించారు. ముఖ్యంగా మెట్రో స్టేషన్ల వద్ద తగిన పార్కింగ్ సదుపాయాల లేమితో ప్రజలు ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని తెలిపారు.
ఈవీ ఛార్జింగ్ కేంద్రాలతో పాటు ఆధునిక పార్కింగ్ సదుపాయాలు కల్పిస్తే భవిష్యత్ నగర అవసరాలకు అనుకూలంగా ఉంటుందని సీఎం సూచించారు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి సూచనలను సమగ్రంగా అధ్యయనం చేస్తామని ఉబర్ ప్రతినిధి బృందం తెలిపింది.
ఈ సందర్భంగా హైదరాబాద్ సమీపంలో ప్రతిష్టాత్మకంగా అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్న Bharat Future City ప్రాజెక్టును కూడా ముఖ్యమంత్రి వివరించారు. 30 వేల ఎకరాల్లో అభివృద్ధి చేస్తున్న ఈ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీకి ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత 500 కంపెనీలను ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
శంషాబాద్ విమానాశ్రయానికి సమీపంలో నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుపై ఇప్పటికే పలు అంతర్జాతీయ సంస్థలు ఆసక్తి చూపుతున్నాయని సీఎం పేర్కొన్నారు. గత డిసెంబర్లో నిర్వహించిన గ్లోబల్ సమ్మిట్లో 100కు పైగా కంపెనీలు పెట్టుబడులపై చర్చించినట్లు తెలిపారు.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy urged Uber Technologies to focus on addressing the growing parking challenges in major cities, especially Hyderabad. The Chief Minister suggested that the company explore the possibility of establishing multi-level parking facilities in the future.
A delegation led by Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi met the Chief Minister at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad. The discussions focused on Uber’s expansion plans, urban mobility solutions, and future investment opportunities in Telangana.
During the meeting, Dara Khosrowshahi announced that Uber is expanding its Center of Excellence in Hyderabad. He stated that the Hyderabad facility is Uber’s first such center outside the United States and currently employs around 600 engineers.
Uber also expressed interest in setting up its corporate office in Bharat Future City, a large-scale futuristic urban project being developed near Hyderabad. Company representatives informed the Chief Minister that Uber plans to further expand its operations in Telangana and requested continued government support.
The Chief Minister highlighted that parking has become a major issue in India’s leading cities and warned that the problem could intensify in the coming years. He specifically pointed out the difficulties faced near metro stations due to inadequate parking infrastructure.
Revanth Reddy suggested that integrated parking facilities along with EV charging stations could significantly improve urban mobility in Hyderabad. Uber representatives responded that they would study the proposals in detail.
The Chief Minister also briefed the delegation about Bharat Future City, which is being developed across nearly 30,000 acres near Hyderabad. He stated that the government is inviting Fortune 500 companies and global corporations to establish operations in the project.
According to officials, multiple international companies have already shown interest in investing in the Future City initiative. The government had also hosted a global investment summit in December, where over 100 companies participated.
The meeting was attended by Uber Chief Business Officer Madhur Kannan, Uber India & South Asia President Prabhjeet Singh, Chief Technology Officer Praveen Neppalli Naga, and senior Telangana government officials.
