పగటి వేళల్లో గృహ అవసరాల కోసం ట్యాంకర్లను పంపిస్తుండగా, రాత్రి సమయంలో కమర్షియల్ అవసరాల కోసం ప్రత్యేకంగా సరఫరా చేస్తున్నారు. కొన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో అర్ధరాత్రి వరకు కూడా నీటి ట్యాంకర్ల సరఫరా కొనసాగుతోంది.
గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ పరిధిలోని దాదాపు 30 ప్రాంతాల్లో నీటి ట్యాంకర్లకు అధిక డిమాండ్ నమోదైంది. ముఖ్యంగా Nizampet, Kukatpally, Erragadda, Ameerpet, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Kondapur, Madhapur, Manikonda, Gachibowli, Shaikpet ప్రాంతాల్లో బుకింగ్స్ అధికంగా నమోదవుతున్నాయి.
వాటర్ బోర్డు ఆధ్వర్యంలో ప్రస్తుతం 11,233 ట్యాంకర్లు పనిచేస్తుండగా, మొత్తం 84 ఫిల్లింగ్ స్టేషన్ల ద్వారా సరఫరాను ఆన్లైన్లో పర్యవేక్షిస్తున్నారు. ఐటీ విభాగం ప్రత్యేక డ్యాష్బోర్డ్ను రూపొందించి బుకింగ్లు, డెలివరీలు, పెండింగ్ వివరాలను రంగుల ఆధారంగా గుర్తించే విధంగా వ్యవస్థను అభివృద్ధి చేసింది.
100లోపు పెండింగ్ బుకింగ్స్కు ఒక రంగు, 200 వరకు మరో రంగు, 200కు పైగా పెండింగ్ ఉంటే ప్రత్యేక హెచ్చరిక రంగు కనిపించేలా డ్యాష్బోర్డ్ రూపొందించారు. దీని ద్వారా అధికారులకు వెంటనే సమాచారం చేరి సంబంధిత ఫిల్లింగ్ స్టేషన్లను అలర్ట్ చేస్తున్నారు.
ట్యాంకర్ బుక్ చేసిన 24 గంటల్లోగా సరఫరా పూర్తి చేసేలా చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నామని అధికారులు తెలిపారు. డిమాండ్ పెరిగిన ప్రాంతాల్లో అదనపు ఫిల్లింగ్ స్టేషన్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసి సరఫరా వ్యవస్థను బలోపేతం చేశారు.

Demand for water tankers has sharply increased across Hyderabad as the summer heat intensifies and groundwater levels continue to decline in several parts of the city. Residents in many localities are increasingly depending on private and government water tankers due to drying borewells and water shortages.
According to officials of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, more than 11,000 water tanker trips are currently being supplied daily across the Greater Hyderabad region.
Authorities have introduced a special operational plan to manage the rising demand. Tankers are being allocated for domestic needs during daytime hours, while commercial water supply operations are being handled mostly during the night. In some areas, tanker deliveries are continuing until midnight.
The highest demand has been reported from several major residential and IT corridor localities including Nizampet, Kukatpally, Ameerpet, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Kondapur, Madhapur, Manikonda, Gachibowli and Shaikpet.
Officials said that around 11,233 tankers are currently operating under the Water Board network. Supply operations are being monitored through 84 filling stations using an online dashboard system developed by the IT division.
The dashboard uses color-coded indicators to track pending bookings and delivery status. Alerts are automatically generated when booking pendency crosses specific limits, enabling faster response from officials.
Authorities stated that efforts are being made to ensure tanker delivery within 24 hours of booking. Additional filling stations have also been activated in high-demand areas to improve supply efficiency during peak summer conditions.
