మెడ్చల్-మల్కాజిగిరి జిల్లా శామీర్పేట్ : ప్రమాదాల సమయంలో ప్రాణాపాయం నుండి కాపాడడంలో హెల్మెట్ కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని శామీర్పేట్ సిఐ శ్రీనాథ్ అన్నారు. శామీర్పేట్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ పరిధిలోని తూంకుంట స్పోర్ట్స్ స్కూల్లో రోడ్డు భద్రతపై అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాన్ని శామీర్పేట్ పోలీసులు నిర్వహించారు. “Arrive Alive” కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా స్పోర్ట్స్ స్కూల్లో విద్యార్థులకు రోడ్డు భద్రతపై అవగాహన కల్పించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో ట్రాఫిక్ నియమాల ప్రాముఖ్యత, ట్రాఫిక్ సంకేతాల అర్థం, పాదచారులుగా రోడ్డు దాటే సరైన విధానం వంటి అంశాలపై విద్యార్థులకు సిఐ శ్రీనాథ్ వివరించారు. నిర్లక్ష్య డ్రైవింగ్ వల్ల కలిగే ప్రమాదాల గురించి కూడా చర్చించారు.
ప్రత్యేకంగా హెల్మెట్ ధరించడం ఎంత ముఖ్యమో విద్యార్థులకు వివరించారు. ప్రమాదాల సమయం తలకు గాయాలు తగ్గించడంలో హెల్మెట్ కీలక పాత్ర పోషిస్తుందని తెలిపారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో భాగంగా విద్యార్థులతో వారి తల్లిదండ్రులకు హెల్మెట్ ధరించాలనే సందేశంతో లేఖలు రాయించారు. కుటుంబ స్థాయిలో రోడ్డు భద్రతపై అవగాహన పెంచడం లక్ష్యంగా ఈ కార్యక్రమం చేపట్టారు.
జీబ్రా క్రాసింగ్ వినియోగం, ట్రాఫిక్ నియమాల కచ్చితమైన పాటింపు, రోడ్డు వినియోగంలో క్రమశిక్షణ వంటి అంశాలపై కూడా అవగాహన కల్పించారు. విద్యార్థులు రోడ్డు భద్రత రాయబారులుగా మారాలని పోలీసులు సూచించారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో సిఐ శ్రీనాథ్ తోపాటుగా , ఎస్ఐ శశివర్ధన్ రెడ్డి, ఓఎస్డీ మమత ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహించారు. విద్యార్థులు ఉత్సాహంగా పాల్గొన్నారు.

Medchal–Malkajgiri District, Shameerpet: Circle Inspector Srinath highlighted that wearing a helmet plays a crucial role in saving lives during road accidents. He was speaking at a road safety awareness program conducted at Thumkunta Sports School under the jurisdiction of the Shameerpet Police Station.
The awareness drive was held as part of the “Arrive Alive” initiative, aiming to educate students on essential road safety practices. During the session, CI Srinath explained the importance of traffic rules, the meaning of traffic signals, and the correct way for pedestrians to cross roads safely. He also discussed the dangers of negligent driving and its consequences.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of wearing helmets, noting that they significantly reduce the risk of head injuries during accidents.
As part of the program, students were encouraged to write letters to their parents, urging them to wear helmets. The initiative aimed to extend road safety awareness to families and reinforce responsible behavior at the household level.
Students were also educated on the use of zebra crossings, strict adherence to traffic regulations, and maintaining discipline while using roads. Police officials encouraged students to act as ambassadors of road safety in their communities.
The program was conducted under the supervision of CI Srinath, along with SI Shashivardhan Reddy and OSD Mamatha. Students actively and enthusiastically participated in the event.
