హైదరాబాద్లోని డాక్టర్ బీఆర్ అంబేద్కర్ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సచివాలయంలో మంగళవారం ముఖ్యమంత్రి అధ్యక్షతన రాష్ట్రస్థాయి ఉన్నత నిఘా, పర్యవేక్షణ కమిటీ సమావేశం జరిగింది. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం ఏర్పడిన తర్వాత ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలపై అత్యాచారాల నిరోధక చట్టం అమలుపై ముఖ్యమంత్రి అధ్యక్షతన రాష్ట్రస్థాయి సమావేశం జరగడం ఇదే తొలిసారి అని డెక్కన్ క్రానికల్ నివేదించింది.
సమావేశంలో చట్టం అమలు, నమోదైన కేసులు, దర్యాప్తు, విచారణ, కేసుల పరిష్కారం, బాధితులకు అందుతున్న సహాయం, పునరావాసంపై సమీక్ష జరిగింది. చట్టంపై అవగాహన కార్యక్రమాలు, కేసుల విచారణకు ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ప్రత్యేక కోర్టుల పనితీరుపైనా చర్చించారు.
రాష్ట్రంలో ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీలపై అత్యాచార ఘటనలకు మానవీయ కోణంలో స్పందించాలని రేవంత్ రెడ్డి అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు. బాధిత కుటుంబాలకు అవసరమైన సహాయం, పరిహారం, పునరావాసం సకాలంలో అందేలా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు.
అణగారిన వర్గాల అభివృద్ధికి విద్య, ఉపాధి, నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి కీలకమని ముఖ్యమంత్రి పేర్కొన్నారు. పిల్లలను చదువు, క్రీడల వైపు ప్రోత్సహించాలని, దళితులు, గిరిజనులు, ఆదివాసీల అభివృద్ధి కోసం రాజకీయాలకు అతీతంగా కలిసి పనిచేయాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
ప్రభుత్వ సంక్షేమ కార్యక్రమాలను ప్రస్తావిస్తూ, ఇందిరమ్మ ఇళ్ల లబ్ధిదారుల్లో ఎస్సీలకు 31 శాతం, ఎస్టీలకు 17 శాతం ఇళ్లు మంజూరయ్యాయని ముఖ్యమంత్రి తెలిపారు. అలాగే రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా నర్సరీ నుంచి 12వ తరగతి వరకు 27.5 లక్షల మంది విద్యార్థులకు అల్పాహారం అందిస్తున్నట్లు వివరించారు.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure timely compensation, assistance and rehabilitation for victims of atrocities from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. He ordered that compensation in sexual assault cases should be released through a green channel without being delayed on budget-related grounds.
A State-level High-Power Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting on the implementation of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
According to Deccan Chronicle, this was the first such State-level meeting chaired by a Chief Minister after the formation of Telangana. The committee reviewed the implementation of the Act, cases registered, investigations, trial proceedings, case resolution, assistance and rehabilitation being provided to victims.
The meeting also reviewed awareness programmes relating to the Act and the functioning of special courts dealing with cases registered under the legislation.
Revanth Reddy directed officials to respond to atrocity and sexual assault cases involving SC and ST victims from a humanitarian perspective. He stressed the need to ensure that affected families receive compensation and rehabilitation without unnecessary delay.
The Chief Minister said education, employment and skill development were important for bringing social change. He also called for children from marginalised communities to be encouraged towards education and sports and urged people to work for the development of Dalit, tribal and Adivasi communities above political considerations.
Highlighting welfare measures, Revanth Reddy said SC beneficiaries accounted for 31 per cent of the beneficiaries of Indiramma houses, while 17 per cent of sanctioned houses were allotted to ST beneficiaries. He also said breakfast was being provided to 27.5 lakh students from nursery to Class 12 across Telangana.
