ఇరు రాజకీయ వర్గాల నుంచి పరస్పరం ఆస్తులు, భూములు, వ్యాపార వ్యవహారాలపై ఆరోపణలు వస్తున్న నేపథ్యంలో, ఈ అంశాలను రాజకీయ ఆరోపణలుగా కాకుండా స్వతంత్రంగా పరిశీలించాలని రఘునందన్‌రావు కోరారు.
ఆస్తులు, భూముల వివరాలతో పాటు రెవెన్యూ, రిజిస్ట్రేషన్‌, కంపెనీ, పన్ను రికార్డులు, ఎన్నికల అఫిడవిట్లను పరిశీలించాలని ఆయన విజ్ఞప్తి చేసినట్లు ది న్యూ ఇండియన్ ఎక్స్‌ప్రెస్, ఎన్‌డీటీవీ నివేదించాయి.
ప్రజా జీవితంలో ఉన్న నేతలపై తీవ్రమైన ఆస్తుల ఆరోపణలు వచ్చినప్పుడు వాస్తవాలను అధికారిక పత్రాలు, రికార్డుల ఆధారంగా తేల్చాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని రఘునందన్‌రావు పేర్కొన్నారు. ఈ విచారణ ప్రజా ప్రయోజనాలకు ఉపయోగపడటంతో పాటు ప్రజాస్వామ్య సంస్థలపై నమ్మకాన్ని పెంచుతుందని ఆయన అన్నారు.

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP MP M Raghunandan Rao has approached the Telangana High Court seeking an independent inquiry into the assets, properties, landholdings and business interests of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) and their respective family members.
Raghunandan Rao submitted a representation to the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court amid an ongoing political exchange of allegations between the Congress and BRS over assets, properties and business interests.
The BJP MP has sought scrutiny of revenue, registration, company and tax records as well as the election affidavits of the political leaders, according to reports by The New Indian Express and NDTV.
Raghunandan Rao argued that when serious allegations concerning substantial assets are made by people holding public office, the claims should be independently examined through documentary evidence and official records.
He said such an investigation would be in the larger public interest and would help establish the facts while strengthening public confidence in democratic institutions.
The allegations concerning the assets of Revanth Reddy, KTR and their families, however, remain allegations at this stage and should not be treated as established findings of wrongdoing. Any determination would depend on official records and the findings of the competent investigative or judicial authorities.
