హైదరాబాద్: ఉప్పల్‌లోని రాజీవ్‌ గాంధీ అంతర్జాతీయ క్రికెట్‌ స్టేడియంలో అక్టోబర్‌ 14న జరగనున్న భారత్‌–వెస్టిండీస్‌ టీ20 మ్యాచ్‌ నేపథ్యంలో మల్కాజిగిరి పోలీస్‌ కమిషనర్‌ బి. సుమతి, ఐపీఎస్‌ ఆధ్వర్యంలో భద్రతా సమన్వయ సమావేశం నిర్వహించారు.
మ్యాచ్‌కు వచ్చే ప్రేక్షకులు, ఆటగాళ్లు, అధికారుల భద్రతకు సంబంధించిన ఏర్పాట్లపై సమావేశంలో సమగ్రంగా సమీక్షించారు. లా అండ్‌ ఆర్డర్‌, ట్రాఫిక్‌ పోలీసులు, హైదరాబాద్ క్రికెట్‌ అసోసియేషన్‌ ప్రతినిధులు ఇందులో పాల్గొన్నారు.
అగ్నిమాపక శాఖ, జీహెచ్‌ఎంసీ, విద్యుత్‌ శాఖతో పాటు ఇతర సంబంధిత విభాగాల అధికారులు కూడా సమావేశానికి హాజరయ్యారు. మ్యాచ్‌ సందర్భంగా ట్రాఫిక్‌ నిర్వహణ, అగ్నిప్రమాదాల నివారణ, ప్రేక్షకుల రద్దీ నియంత్రణ, అత్యవసర పరిస్థితులను ఎదుర్కొనే ఏర్పాట్లపై చర్చించారు.
రాజీవ్‌ గాంధీ అంతర్జాతీయ క్రికెట్‌ స్టేడియం పరిసరాల్లో సమన్వయంతో పనిచేసేలా వివిధ శాఖలకు సంబంధించిన ఏర్పాట్లను సమీక్షించినట్లు మల్కాజిగిరి పోలీసులు తెలిపారు.
మ్యాచ్‌ రోజున భారీగా ప్రేక్షకులు తరలివచ్చే అవకాశం ఉన్నందున భద్రత, ట్రాఫిక్‌ నిర్వహణ, అత్యవసర సేవలకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వనున్నట్లు అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumathi, IPS, held a coordination meeting to review security arrangements for the India-West Indies T20 match scheduled to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal on October 14, 2026.
Representatives of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, Law and Order Police, Traffic Police and other departments participated in the meeting.
Officials from Fire Services, GHMC, the Electricity Department and other stakeholder agencies also took part in the discussions. The meeting reviewed comprehensive arrangements covering security, traffic management, fire safety, crowd control and emergency response.
The officials discussed inter-departmental coordination around the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium and measures required to manage the expected movement of spectators on match day.
The police said the arrangements are being reviewed in advance to ensure coordinated management of security, traffic and emergency services during the international cricket match.
