హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన పెండింగ్ అంశాలను పరిష్కరించేందుకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి వరుసగా రెండు రోజులపాటు కేంద్ర మంత్రులతో సమావేశమయ్యారు. సోమవారం రాత్రి కేంద్ర రైల్వే శాఖ మంత్రి అశ్విని వైష్ణవ్, కేంద్ర బొగ్గు మరియు గనుల శాఖ మంత్రి జి. కిషన్ రెడ్డితో సుదీర్ఘంగా చర్చించారు.
మంగళవారం ఉదయం కేంద్ర గృహ నిర్మాణ, పట్టణ వ్యవహారాల శాఖ మంత్రి మనోహర్ లాల్ ఖట్టర్ నివాసంలో మరో సమావేశం జరిగింది. ఈ సమావేశంలో అశ్విని వైష్ణవ్, కిషన్ రెడ్డి, ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి పాల్గొన్నారు.
హైదరాబాద్ మెట్రో ఫేజ్-1 ఆస్తుల విలువ నిర్ధారణ, స్వాధీనానికి అవసరమైన రుణాల సమీకరణ, రుణ సంస్థ ఎంపిక, ఫేజ్-2 విస్తరణ వ్యయం, నిధుల సమీకరణ వంటి అంశాలను సమగ్రంగా అధ్యయనం చేయడానికి కన్సల్టెంట్ను నియమించాలని సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయించారు.
ఈ కన్సల్టెంట్గా ఎస్బీఐ క్యాప్స్ (SBICAPS)ను ఎంపిక చేశారు. మెట్రో ఫేజ్-1 విలువ నిర్ధారణ, ఫేజ్-2 విస్తరణ, ఆర్థిక నమూనాలు, భవిష్యత్ నిర్వహణ అంశాలపై సంస్థ సమగ్ర నివేదిక సిద్ధం చేయనుంది. ఆ నివేదిక ఆధారంగా తదుపరి కార్యాచరణ చేపట్టనున్నారు.
అధ్యయన ప్రక్రియ వేగవంతంగా సాగేందుకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున ఒక అధికారి, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం తరఫున మున్సిపల్ పరిపాలన మరియు పట్టణాభివృద్ధి శాఖ ప్రత్యేక కార్యదర్శి సమన్వయ బాధ్యతలు నిర్వహించాలని నిర్ణయించారు.

Discussions between Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Union Ministers in New Delhi have yielded positive progress regarding the acquisition of Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-I and the expansion of Phase-II.
The Chief Minister held a series of meetings over two days with senior Union Ministers to address pending issues related to the metro project. On Monday night, he met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy for detailed discussions.
A follow-up meeting was held on Tuesday morning at the residence of Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The meeting was attended by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Kishan Reddy, and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The leaders agreed to appoint a consultant to study the valuation of Hyderabad Metro Phase-I, financial requirements for acquisition, selection of lending institutions, cost estimates for Phase-II expansion, and funding arrangements.
SBICAPS has been selected as the consultant for the exercise. The agency will prepare a comprehensive report covering valuation, expansion plans, financing models, and related aspects of the metro project. Future decisions will be taken based on the recommendations of the report.
To ensure smooth coordination, the meeting decided that one officer from the Central Government and the Special Chief Secretary of Telangana’s Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department will oversee and expedite the process.
