తెలంగాణలో ఆర్టీసీ బస్సు ఛార్జీల పెంపుపై బీఆర్ఎస్ నేత హరీశ్రావు కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వంపై తీవ్ర విమర్శలు చేశారు. ఆర్టీసీ ఛార్జీల పేరుతో ప్రజలపై అదనపు భారం మోపడం సిగ్గుచేటని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
హరీశ్రావు తన అధికారిక సోషల్ మీడియా ఖాతా ద్వారా స్పందిస్తూ హైదరాబాద్–హన్మకొండ ఏసీ బస్సు ఛార్జీలను ప్రస్తావించారు. ఆగస్టు 20న రూ.410గా ఉన్న ఛార్జీ సెప్టెంబర్ 11న రూ.570కు పెరిగిందని తెలిపారు. దీంతో కేవలం 20 రోజుల వ్యవధిలోనే ఒక్క ప్రయాణికుడిపై రూ.160 అదనపు భారం పడుతోందని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
ఎలాంటి ముందస్తు ప్రకటన లేకుండా రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా వివిధ మార్గాల్లో ఆర్టీసీ ఛార్జీలను పెంచడం ఎంతవరకు సమంజసమని హరీశ్రావు ప్రశ్నించారు. ఇది ప్రజా పాలన కాదని, ప్రజలపై భారాన్ని మోపే పాలనగా మారిందని విమర్శించారు.
మాటల్లో ఉచితాలు చెబుతూ, చేతల్లో ఛార్జీల మోత మోగిస్తున్నారని కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వంపై హరీశ్రావు ఆరోపించారు. ప్రజలపై భారం మోపడం ఆపి, పెంచిన ఆర్టీసీ ఛార్జీలను వెంటనే తగ్గించాలని ఆయన డిమాండ్ చేశారు.
ఇష్టం వచ్చినట్లు ఛార్జీలు పెంచి ప్రజల జేబులకు చిల్లు పెట్టాలని చూస్తే బీఆర్ఎస్ చూస్తూ ఊరుకోదని కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని హరీశ్రావు హెచ్చరించారు.

BRS leader Harish Rao has strongly criticised the Congress government over the reported increase in Telangana RTC bus fares, alleging that the fare hike has placed an additional financial burden on passengers.
Harish Rao raised the issue through his official social media account, citing the Hyderabad–Hanamkonda AC bus fare. According to his post, the fare was ₹410 on August 20 and had increased to ₹570 by September 11. He said this amounted to an additional burden of ₹160 per passenger within a period of just 20 days.
Harish Rao questioned the rationale behind increasing RTC fares on routes across Telangana without prior public announcement. He alleged that the government was imposing an additional burden on ordinary passengers while claiming to provide welfare benefits.
He demanded that the Telangana government stop placing additional financial pressure on the public and immediately roll back the increased RTC fares.
Harish Rao also warned that the BRS would not remain silent if the government continued to increase fares in a manner that, according to him, affected the pockets of passengers.
