Telangana Seeks Germany Partnership for AI Skills and Semiconductor Investments
హైదరాబాద్లో జర్మనీ రాష్ట్రం థురింగియా మంత్రి అధ్యక్షుడు మారియో వోయిట్ నేతృత్వంలోని ప్రతినిధి బృందంతో ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి కీలక సమావేశం నిర్వహించారు. తెలంగాణలో నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి, సాంకేతికత, పెట్టుబడులు, సెమీకండక్టర్ రంగాల్లో సహకార అవకాశాలపై ఇరు వర్గాలు చర్చించాయి.

కృత్రిమ మేధస్సు యుగంలో ఉద్యోగ అవకాశాలకు అనుగుణంగా నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలను పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని ముఖ్యమంత్రి రేవంత్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. జర్మనీ, జపాన్, దక్షిణ కొరియా వంటి అభివృద్ధి చెందిన దేశాల అవసరాలకు అనుగుణంగా యువతకు శిక్షణ ఇవ్వాలని సూచించారు.
యంగ్ ఇండియా స్కిల్స్ యూనివర్సిటీ, అడ్వాన్స్డ్ టెక్నాలజీ సెంటర్లు, పాలిటెక్నిక్ విద్యాసంస్థల పాఠ్య ప్రణాళికల ఆధునీకరణకు థురింగియా సహకారం అందించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి కోరారు. దీనికి సానుకూలంగా స్పందించిన మారియో వోయిట్ పరిశ్రమల అవసరాలకు అనుగుణమైన సంయుక్త నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి నమూనాను రూపొందించవచ్చని తెలిపారు.
హైదరాబాద్లో జర్మన్ భాషా శిక్షణ కేంద్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి ప్రతిపాదించారు. జర్మనీ పరిశ్రమల భవిష్యత్ ఉద్యోగ అవసరాలను గుర్తిస్తే, వాటికి అనుగుణంగా తెలంగాణ యువతకు శిక్షణ అందించేందుకు రాష్ట్రం సిద్ధంగా ఉందన్నారు.
భారత్ ఫ్యూచర్ సిటీని ప్రపంచ పెట్టుబడులు, ఆవిష్కరణలకు కేంద్రంగా తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నట్లు ముఖ్యమంత్రి వివరించారు. ఫార్చ్యూన్ 500 కంపెనీలను ఆకర్షించే లక్ష్యంతో రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పనిచేస్తోందని చెప్పారు.
సెమీకండక్టర్ రంగంలో పెట్టుబడి అవకాశాలను పరిశీలించేందుకు జర్మన్ సెమీకండక్టర్ కంపెనీల ప్రత్యేక ప్రతినిధి బృందాన్ని తెలంగాణకు పంపేందుకు సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నట్లు మారియో వోయిట్ వెల్లడించారు. దీనిని స్వాగతించిన మంత్రి శ్రీధర్ బాబు హైదరాబాద్ ఇప్పటికే ప్రపంచ స్థాయి సెమీకండక్టర్ సంస్థలకు కేంద్రంగా మారుతోందని తెలిపారు.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a high-level meeting in Hyderabad with a delegation led by Thuringia Minister-President Mario Voigt of Germany to discuss cooperation in skill development, technology, innovation, and investment opportunities.
The meeting was attended by Ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Vivek Venkataswamy, along with senior Telangana government officials. Mario Voigt described Telangana as a leading centre of progress and innovation in India and said the state’s growth story holds a special place in the evolving India-Germany partnership.
During the discussions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy emphasized the need to redesign skill development programmes to meet workforce requirements in the era of Artificial Intelligence. He stressed that training systems should align with the demands of advanced economies such as Germany, Japan, and South Korea.
The Chief Minister sought Thuringia’s support in modernising the curriculum of Young India Skills University, Advanced Technology Centres, and Polytechnic Institutes. Responding positively, Mario Voigt said an industry-driven and demand-based skilling framework could be jointly developed through partnerships between Telangana and leading German institutions.
Revanth Reddy also proposed establishing a German Language Training Hub in Hyderabad to prepare skilled professionals for global employment opportunities. He said Telangana’s workforce has already made significant contributions to the global technology ecosystem.
Highlighting the state’s future growth plans, the Chief Minister outlined his vision for Bharat Future City as a global investment and innovation destination capable of attracting Fortune 500 companies.
Mario Voigt proposed sending a specialised delegation of German semiconductor companies to Telangana to explore investment opportunities and industrial partnerships. Welcoming the proposal, Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad already hosts major global semiconductor firms and is progressing towards semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.
Minister Vivek Venkataswamy informed the delegation that the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company is actively expanding German language training and overseas workforce development programmes.
